The original recording of this mix was for It'sNotRadio Scotland as part of DJ Freakuency's Electro Is A State Of Mind, a mix series exploring the interwoven musical dynamics between genres of electronic dance music that are suited to the more fast-paced, grittier and darker dancefloors of the international club world, being Acid, Bass, Breakbeat, Electro and Techno.

The Electro Is A State Of Mind series was a big developmental stage in DJ Freakuency's career, allowing him to experiment with genres and styles outside his comfort zone.

"Nightcrawler", the first track on the A-side, is a meticulously produced dancefloor banger that will soundtrack your next raving experience. "Junked-Up Kicks" brings the tonal quality to a more melodica-filled place with warm synth work, lush vocal-like pads and plenty of clean air, creating a clarity-filled cut. 

"The Basement" defines what it means to find euphoria on the dancefloor. Look no further to seek out the ecstasy. On the flip, we have two heavy pumpers with "Blah, Blah Blah", an ode to the nights, people and conversations that shaped DJ Freakuency and "Waterford Boy", a hard-hitting floor-filler extravaganza. 

This release sees the Waterford native arguably at the height of his discipline while releasing some of his most innovative, ground-breaking music yet.

If this release wasn’t big enough, two dark, gritty remixes have been added to the EP by DJ Freakuency’s friend and mentor, Doug Cooney.

An experienced academic, music tutor and DJ, Doug is no stranger to raw, powerful and well-produced techno, reworking the warm, soft and calm tones in “From The Flames” into a more frantic, fast-paced and harder direction.

Doug Cooney's remixes of DJ Freakuency's "Nightcrawler" and "The Basement" are electrifying and innovative, breathing new life into the originals with their captivating beats and dynamic energy. This EP is an essential step forward for experimental & unique bassweight music that nods to Dubstep’s dark beginnings, allowing DJ Freakuency to embrace the past and share his output for the future.

To diversify and add dynamics to the overall sound of the EP, Jordan Moylan, an innovative Irish producer from Waterford, Ireland has produced two original cuts for Under The Influence. Embarking on his electronic music journey from the age of 12 with Club Create and FL Studio, Jordan began to find his signature sound which is an eclectic mix that encompasses house, hardstyle, proto-rave, melodic techno, breakcore & D’n’B.

Electronic Nomad is the new five-track EP from DJ Freakuency.

The opening track, "Indian Cuisine" is an intoxicating mix of ambient, electronica and experimental. Next, the (UKG Rework) of "Indian Cuisine" shakes things up with a drum-heavy ukg beat and a charged, almost rebellious energy that begs to be danced to.

"Men's Sauna" offers an immersive experience: a dark, steam-filled atmosphere where deep basslines and minimalistic percussion tease the senses. Lastly, "Centra 426" carries an industrial pulse that draws you into a futuristic world of glitchy synths, obscure zaps and mechanical noise, leaving you both exhilarated and entranced.
