On April 15, VP Records unleashes Sizzla's Radical, a collection of rare and unreleased material during the 2014 Grammy nominated icon's formative years.  Radical unearths musical gems from the Xterminator label sessions between the early '90s and '00 that were produced by the late legendary Philip Fattis Burrell. Fattis helped forge some of Sizzla's best work to date, including his 1997 breakthrough album Praise Ye Jah that is widely considered one of the top conscious reggae albums of its time. 
 
Whether Sizzla is addressing society's ills or singing love songs, the like-minded Radical (overseen under the direction of Fattis' son Kareem Burrell) features the reigning king of roots' honest, raw and thought-provoking lyrics. Sizzla's palpable spirit and vigor for life shine throughout this revolutionary collection of obscure or previously unreleased material, which features live instrumentation from Jamaica's studio aces like Sly Dunbar, Steven Stanley, Earl 'Chinna' Smith and Dean Fraser.
 
Since his emergence in the early 90s, Sizzla has undeniably put his stamp on thegenre regardless of the current style or trend. The Jamaica-born reggae vocalist's previous effort The Messiah (released in 2013 on VP Records) earned him his first Grammy nomination for Best Reggae Album. Rap mogul Jay Z also recently sampled Sizzla's timeless classic "Solid As A Rock" on his latest album, while hip hop artists like 50 Cent and Ja Rule used the same tune in their songs too.

Forged in the "live" sessions at Reggae Roast Soundsystem in London, Vibration Lab specialize in throw-back juggling style, reminisent of the "old-school" Jamaican soundsystems  who would have a team of MC's and singers to perform over riddims in the dance. Vibration Lab realized the power of these sets and set-forth to capture the excitement of these Digtial Reggae Dancehall cifers in the studio. Vibration Lab set about to create some new riddims in homage to the Digital Reggae they grew up on, but with their own modern twist. Then they assembled the group of incredible talent and voiced at the legendary UK Reggae Producer Nick Manasseh's studio. The result was amazing!

The unique voice of the legendary Jamaican MC Colourman takes over in a style and patteren all his own, this is followed by the power of the chorus once again delivered sweatly by Donovan but backed up by the whole crew. Next comes the understated deepness and power from the incredible MC Dark Angel aka Mowty Maylyka who , finally the "Captain" of the team Brother Culture steps up with a mastery of lyrical flow through is years chatting on countless soundsystems. This tune is an announcement of intent of this new team to the world! Here come the Wu-Tang Clan of Digital Reggae!

Cubiculo Records proudly presents the “Ganjaman EP” that will be released on December 2012 in a 12” vinyl and digital.

This is the first release of the label Cubiculo Records, a newborn label based in London / Lisbon that will feature Dub Unit (PT) and Speng Bond (UK) with the single EP debut “Ganjaman”.

The “Super Mariojuana Riddim” is inspired by the 8 Bit music, so called chiptune, blended with laptop / digital Reggae and influenced by retro computer games such as Nintendos Super Mario.  The Portuguese producer Dub Unit created this Riddim based in a old school tune from Horace Ferguson called “Sensi Addict” and U-Roy’s “Music Addict”, but also brought the 8 Bit feeling because of his appreciation for producers like Prince Jammy,  Jahtari, Maffi, and labels like Jammy’s, Harmodio, Unity Sounds, among others. Super Mariojuana Riddim was produced and mixed by Dub Unit where the English veteran Deejay Speng Bond, from the UK based label Reality Shock Records, sings “Ganjaman” in a wicked and conscious way. 

The 12” vinyl will have six tracks, featuring on the A side the original version, the riddim version and the Acapella of “Ganjaman” so that any Speng Bond fan can do a remix for their own music. The flip side of the record will have three different remixes from Dub Unit´s & Speng Bond “Ganjaman”, where you can find a Digistep Version from the Portuguese producer Delmighty Sounds, a Cumbia / Raggamuffin version from the Colombian producer Alguacil Dub Killa and finally a Jungle version from the Portuguese Dirty Skank Beats.
