After a necessary pause to organize our thoughts, we return stronger than ever with the 28th reference for our catalog. We welcome Nickon Faith, a young UK producer based in Manchester, who creates a progressive and melodic atmosphere in “Flow With You”. Indeed, as a child, he was first influenced by Tangerine Dream, and more recently, by artists the likes of Bicep and Bonobo. The sounds’ originality and the subtle female voices fill with melancholy a straightforward elegant House Groove. As for the end of the EP, we rely on two of our favorite artists from the SD crew.

Luis Palomo is an expert at leaving one speechless. Ludowick re-invents the original song, on this occasion, with an amazing big fat break 90s piano tune.

Pedro Sanmartín is in top form, as his last year's releases prove. The Norway-based artist delivers a deep epic heavenly version, twisting and detuning arpeggios.

Comenzamos el año con la misma ilusión de seguir compartiendo lo que más nos gusta y nos une. Llegamos al Podcast número 25 de la serie a cargo de @t0ny-marquez , un DJ sevillano desde el 2005.

T0ny Marquez, mitad de HRMNS -duo formado con su hermano- y miembro del colectivo Kursaal, es uno de los nombres habituales en las cabinas de los clubs sevillanos. Como todo buen andaluz, su andadura comenzó en la escena del breakbeat, aunque en la actualidad pincha electro, techno, house, funk...

Su mayor afán es el de descubrir artistas y productores locales lo que le ha llevado a tener gran conocimiento de la escena electrónica nacional desde sus orígenes, y muestra de ello es esta magnífica selección de canciones que nos ha traído hoy de los pioneros españoles de ambient/experimental, que además pudo escucharse en directo el pasado 18 de septiembre de 2021 en la sala Prisma de Sevilla.

Un placer tener a T0ny Marquez con nosotros y poder compartir su sabiduría y buen hacer con todxs ustedes.

After a year of lethargy, SD Records returns with a tremendous EP signed by Ludowick. One of the most beloved remixers of the family finally deserved a solo EP, and the occasion has arrived in the SD 30th release.

Always Dreaming becomes one of the high points of Luis' career, of which we still don't know its peak. The EP is made up of 3 songs simmered for 5 years, and although they represent 3 different moods, the common denominator is the dancefloor.

Always Dreaming creates a minimalist and dreamlike atmosphere thanks to the dub dyes of the house, accompanied by a tech-house rhythm with sounds of the mythical 909.

Vitamin is a timeless Garnerian ode, confetti-scented but meticulously crafted. Luis germinated the idea a few years ago but took it up again last 2022 with new ideas to create this marvellous anthem.

In Its So Good Luis lets us glimpse his love for 90's house and 80's pop, with a vocal and tribal track inspired by artists like Yazoo or Madonna.

Pedro Sanmartin has shared a journey with Sonidos Distintos since practically the beginning of the label, and his latest productions on labels such as Tanzgemeinschaft or Everything will be ok confirm a spectacular evolution in his sound. We couldnt imagine a better way to reach reference 31 of our catalogue than with the Catalan based in Norway. Rollecoaster EP includes 3 original tracks, forming a solid, mature and coherent album, destined for the dancefloor of the most demanding clubs. Rollercoaster is a minimalist gem reminiscent of the sounds used by Matthew Dear in his timeless Mouth to Mouth, but with the Catalan producers trademark sensitivity. Next, Gait offers an intriguing arpeggiated universe with a deep bassline. On Positive Dynamic, the albums closing track, Pedro changes the pace to create a wonderful song with emotive electro overtones and an acid line that resonates in our heads. Asturiano afincado en Barcelona desde 2008, Mario Fano Rodil (@mariof) es un dj que vive con pasión la música y la tecnología. Colaborador de Colectivo Secreto y activo de la asociación Ameba, dirige su propio sello musical llamado Sonidos Distintos con sede en Sevilla y Barcelona -que este año 2023 celebra su 15 aniversario.
Cuenta con mas de 15 referencias publicadas en sellos como Seven Villas, Unison Recordings o Reiz Musik, además de varios EP's auto-editados en Sonidos Distintos. En sus producciones el hilo conductor es el house con influencias deep y lo-fi.

Salas como Cosmos y Kafka (Sevilla), Fame (Valladolid), CUE (Amsterdam), Moog, Razzmatazz o La Terrazzza (Barcelona) y festivales de la ciudad como MIRA Festival han bailado con las mezclas rápidas e intensas de Mario. Además de su faceta de dj, ofrece un directo analógico que ya ha presentado en eventos como Avant-Off (Nitsa Club) o en la fiesta del colectivo Yes It's Loud Enough en Trondheim (Noruega).
Actualmente es el responsable de la línea DJ en el legendario fabricante de mesas de mezclas Ecler.
