This is the middle chapter of the trilogy.
Part II is where the mix settles in, opens up and finds its natural flow,  deeper grooves, wider melodies and a steady sense of movement.

Open Waters is all about cruising.
Not pushing too hard, just letting the energy breathe and grow on its own. It’s the part of the journey where everything feels connected and effortless.

Kobosil @ Awakenings Festival 2017 (25-06-2017)

@ben-sims has been one of my favourite DJs for over twenty years and sets the standard for mixing techno records. I have been buying Ben’s records since the late nineties and he has always been one of those ‘buy-on-site’ producers. His legendary labels like Theory, Hardgroove and Ingoma set the standard for driving, hard, funky tribal techno. His disco-infused techno releases were always one of my favourites to play back in the day (and still are!).

I still have my copies of Ben’s mix CDs – Escapism Part 1 & Part 2, Welcome To My World and Fabric 73. Mixes I studied as much as I enjoyed and listened to on repeat. Listening to Ben mix has always made me want to get better at DJing and for that I salute and respect him to no end.

Anytime I have seen Ben live, it has been a real treat and a humbling education in the art of mixing.
