Waterfall encounter! My first cover on the second account. Honestly I think it's a pretty good start! I mixed up some bits to make it feel more Papyrus-y yet sort of intense.  I don't really know how well it stands in comparision to other covers but I'd say I'm still pretty dang proud of this. 

Fun Fact: I was considering doing this with a more metal outlook, similar to Dusk's cover, but decided against it simply because I was too lazy. Also this is my first song using a harpsicord and I'm now in love.

Sorry for the radio silence. Working on something HUGE. This is just some filler content that I made in 2-3 hours.

So Bloodshed in The Rain. I first covered this song on December 31st, meaning it was my last cover of 2020. It was ALMOST my top song, but Sentence and Sociovania took it over. Honestly the cover was just okay. Mixing sucked ass and instrumentation was decent at best. 

So I've decided to cover this again. I think that it's turned out a lot better than the last one. Mixing won't cause your eardrums to rupture, and the song now has an actual amplified guitar. (I didn't know how to AMP stuff until like late January/Feburary)

Fun Fact: My Sans drawing breaks canon design three times because I don't like his design that much. Coloring issues don't count, but see if you can find them!

V2 was a mess. Let’s be real.

So here's the final version of this song! Did y'all notice the positioning of my final fire-related song and ice-related song being back to back? Anyways, V2 really mixed things up, in a bad way. All the motifs were a huge mess, so I present V3, which still stands out from other covers, but has a slightly less crappy intro.

I spent a little more time on this than I'd like to admit, honestly! The other two covers came really quick minus me spreading the creation of V1 along like 3 weeks to make sure it's done by Christmas, and this one just was harder to make.

Fun Fact: The bit at 2:15 (The long guitar notes. Not the entire bit!) is transcribed from memory because I was too lazy to load that bit of the MIDI

I made this in 2 days! And it actually sounds really good! I tried making a cover back in like December or January, and it didn't go well to say the least. Don’t think I even made it to the square bit.

Anyways, I'm a huge fan of the FNAF franchise. It's super nostalgic towards me, and is actually probably one of the reasons I bonded with my best friend as much as I did back in third grade. (Honestly I was kind of a dickhead back then) I've had like 300MB of FNAF samples in the computer for the past few months, and needlessly I was thrilled to be able to use them!

Fun Fact: I literally JUST figured out how to do note slides with this song. Turns out LMMS is a douche and only supports them with native instruments and not soundfonts.

Anyways Perplexe! I started working on this a while back. Maybe a month ago? I'm not really sure. All I know is that I forgot about this entirely. It took me a while to pick it back up again, just in time for Papyrus month! 

Fun Fact: In the original draft for the description (I actually write drafts for decs in the project notes) I wrote about how this didn't change that much but I scrapped it, because I actually DID change a lot! I changed the lead, square, brass, and added a ton of extra composition in parts, such as those little tidbits of the lead in the brass and the vibrato in various places.

Anyways, I'm going to explain the full lore of this fight here, because this is likely the last of Sealswap content you'll ever see (tho I kinda wanna make the CORE genocide fight theme). Anyways, as you can see from the thumbnail, this fight takes place in Waterfall! Kinda weird right? This is because Sealswap happens because of a civil war between Asgore and Toriel, with Waterfall being the battleground of all their fights. You fight Papyrus here because it's simply as far as he can go without getting jumped by Asgore's goons. (Also you're in Waterfall when he realizes that he has to fight you).  His fight replaces Bot Alpha's, who is a badass robot version of Alphys. who you fight in the CORE now, along with Mixadude (MTT replacement), and the actual Alphys. If you could, you would also fight Undyne, except she's kinda in a wheelchair and evacuated with everyone else.

Dislovaniac has been like an itch that you can't scratch. V1 had terrible instrumentation and was a literal MIDI slap except for the drums, which were original and terrible. Then I made V2, which just dragged on forever and felt soooo messy once you hit like 2 minutes or something.

So I've decided to make a V3 for Papyrus Month! I'm actually really pleased with how it came out. It sounds intense but kinda emotional at the same, and ISN'T a MIDI slap this time! I cut a lot of content for this because I was just so afraid of it turning out like V2. It's actually a decent length now! Although, if I'm being honest, I still don't like this. It's a half decent cover, but I feel like it just falls apart after the brass, and I've tried fixing it many-a a times. Needless to say it's been driving me nuts. I even considered SCRAPPING the entire brass bit because I was just so dissatisfied by it.

I'm actually really proud of this. V1 + V2 were really just glorified MIDI slaps. This contains entirely original percussion, and a LOT of modification in some parts. Also I messed with the chord progression and the composition ofc. Wouldn’t be a Seallion song without screwed up composition!

I had a lot of fun making this. I feel like the other versions were kinda flops, so experimenting with this song again felt pretty good. Modern Dissensions seem to always have these really funky guitar intros, and while they sound good, they don't really fit with the Dissension feel imo. So, I've decided to make something with more classic feels, while switching things up, of course.

Dissension [Whipped V3]

After quite a lot of work I present to you another project that I spent way too much time on! The remaster to one of my older covers: Rain of Tears! 

Rain of Tears is my one of my 2 Sentence Vol.2 takes. It tries to give the song a more emotional and dramatic feel. The original version was the exact same composition of Ssgt. Frost’s take but with some edits in patterns. That's why I decided to make this! It's way more original, and conveys the feelings that I was going for way back yonder.

The Path of Lament remaster will also come soon. It's probs coming anytime this month or in September even though it's likely just gonna be a MMPZ edit of the original with a few extra parts. I'm still super pleased with how it came out even after all this time.

Sociovania was the first song I ever covered that blew up. But if I'm going to be honest, it was also one of my worst songs. Pretty much a MIDI slap with a lead edit! And it also had some pretty bad mixing too. Then I made the V2 which was slightly more original, and also had slightly better mixing.

This final version of the song has much more originality built into it, and conveys a total different feeling, with a lower key, revamped composition, and a really hard drop, it's what I always dreamed my cover would be. Seriously what is a backing guitar tho

This is the 4th version of my super duper awesome self insert megalo. I made V3 in late June and it's been about 2 months so I've decided to finally make the V4! V3 had a really cool concept for the drop but suffered with some terrible buildup and crappy instrumentation, so I've decided to try and make it better! This version tries to reflect an intense sadness but also being hateful and feeling like an actual fight this time?? (Looking at you V3)

This one has a shorter buildup because if someone were to kill everyone in my city I probably wouldn't monologue for 2 minutes straight (Also the intro was pretty bad!).

Thank you all for 25 followers! Never thought that I would make it this far.

I began making music all the way back last October, and lemme tell you that my stuff SUCKED.

So imagine my suprise when I got 10 followers back in December/January. I had no VSTs, way less samples, and terrible music theory knowledge.  I decided to cover one of Saster's songs: Broken Patience! (It resembled how impatient I was to make my first FS)

This is a total remake of the song. This uses Saster's original FLP and isn't just a MIDI slap this time around! I feel like it has a really nice vibe and flows well.

Also I feel like this is as good a place as any to say that I'm probably leaving the UTC soon. It's getting kinda boring now and I'm having my interests shift to other music. Okay so you guys remember when I said back in June that V4 was my final Homicidal Lunacy cover?

Lets be real. It actually sucked pretty hard. Mixing was atrocious to start, and that entire second half of the song was unnecessary. It was way too long and stuck out like a sore thumb. Felt like making something with some classic feels, so I just looked through my MIDIs until I found this old gem! like seriously this song is like 4 years old, and I was just like, "What if I DIDN'T fuck up the composition and just covered it normally?"

Infernum is unironically one of the best things to come out of this community. And I've been trying to cover it for a while! I asked around for the MIDI but either nobody had it, or wasn't willing to give it out. Honestly in hindsight that was a good thing! This is the first song I've covered that I've solely transcribed without a MIDI or reference.

Anyways I decided to go for a more somber, final stand-ish feel for this one. Partially because it sounded cool, and partially because there is NO WAY I can make something that sounds nearly as good as the original. This is my final tribute to Scarlet Flare. It was fun while it lasted!

I absolutely despise Ceartas. I mean v11 was really cool, but the others were really weird in my opinion. So I decided that I had to learn to love Ceartas, and cover this song. I actually kind of appreciate it now! It has a lot of elements that songs from that era of the community lacked.

This one actually took a while! I mean it only took 4 days but it was 4 days of mixing and misery.  V1 and V2 legit were both made in like a day so this sounds 4 times better by default! Though if I'm being honest I do feel like this definitely still has its flaws -- I'm just not really sure how to fix them! Please leave some feedback in the comments if you notice anything weird!

V2 is like 7 months old at this point. That feels kinda weird if I'm being honest!

Waterfall Encounter was the first song I covered on this account,and it seems kinda fitting to finally make a V2 its dying breaths. Like seriously this thing is on life support for minutes I had to purge a bunch of tracks in order to make this last month in the UTSC count!

I decided to try and keep this one short and sweet and just focus on the sound design and mixing! I think that it came out pretty nice! Especially compared to V1 which was PRETTY good for a song I made in April but still sucks ass compared to most of my other stuff. Anyways 7 more tracks to go!

Where do I even start with this song? I spent over a month on it and various scrapped ideas. I'd say that it's taken well over 14 hours of my life, and it's a MIDI edit, too! I know that this isn't the best cover of this song out there, but I still think that this is decent. I tried my best on it- OBC is just really hard to cover!

So anyways 2 more full covers to go! Expect 2 remakes of some older songs in the near future, too!

I honestly kind of loved this song when it first released. It was originally just simply called 'Striking' and it was cool. Except it was quiet as shit. Like seriously you can BARELY hear it compared to most of my other songs! So, I've decided to remaster it, with some much better mixing, and a few other QOL changes to the songs, mostly related to the backing and drums.

I released my first Sheer Cold Justice cover exactly a year ago now. I remember awkwardly asking Fuunkyy if I could use their MIDI, then waiting until early Demember to start the song. I was SO proud to have a song that I spent like 2 weeks on! Now I can spend up to a month depending on how invested I am lol. 

Anyways, this is gonna be one of my last songs on this account, so I hope that you enjoy it! I had a blast making this, and I feel like this song has been a long time coming. I've never really done it justice with my past covers, and being able to actually make it sound good is really nice.

I tried covering this back in like April and it sounded SUPER bad. LMMS isn't really the best for guitars, especially when you can't use VSTs! That's why this cover is... different from most of the other covers to say the least.

Infractus was a fucking mistake. It felt more like an amalgamation of random notes than an actual cohesive song, so I've set out to make the song better! My first attempt at making the song was actually just a really bad Megalovania edit, so I've decided to return to that original idea, except, y'know, with some creative elements of course!

Anyways the next track will be a remaster of Silence! Also known as the one good song to come out of this terrible idea! After that, there's only one song left (It's not the heartache replacement I'm reimagining that and posting it on @sealver-squared)
