After months of road-testing the track amongst sets, the mammoth hard-dance infused big-room anthem ‘Komtie (Kom Tie Dan He!)’ is finally here. Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike collaborate with Bassjackers to revamp The Darkraver and DJ Norman’s ‘Kom Tie Dan He!’ - available on the 9th of June!

The monolithic duo Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike drop another huge release, following their latest collaboration on single ‘Leader’ with Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, Tinie Tempah and Azteck. After first entering DJ Mag’s top 100 DJ’s back in 2011, the Belgian-Greek brothers have achieved the accolade of best DJ in the world numerous times and have maintained their reign at the top of the podium, currently standing firmly at no.3. The Thivaios brothers have been dubbed as the Kings of Tomorrowland and have conquered every mainstage and event from Lollapalooza to the UK’s Wembley Arena. Alongside running their esteemed label Smash The House, the duo continue to release energy-exuding EDM anthems that are awash with star-studded collaborations and garner billions of streams and views worldwide.

This time they’re joined by Dutch dons, Bassjackers, the DJ and production duo consisting of Marlon Flohr, the duo’s effervescent DJ, and Ralph van Hilst, the studio expert. Together their synergy is renowned for vigorous big-room beats and energetic sets that have taken them global, performing at prolific festivals such as Tomorrowland, Ultra and EDC. Having currently scaled DJ Mag’s top 100 poll, the duo have made their appearance for 8 consecutive years with no signs of slowing down. This year has already seen the duo release an enumeration of colossal productions, including their ‘Les Pays Bass’ EP, ‘Wrong or Right (The Riddle)’, which has already surpassed 5 million Spotify plays, and most recently dropping a hard-hitting remix of Dimitri Vegas, Steve Aoki and Chapter Verse’s ‘Friends’. 

‘Komtie (Kom Tie Dan He!)’ puts a modern day spin on The Darkraver and DJ Norman’s classic hard-dance ‘Kom Tie Dan He!’. The 2004 old-skool anthem gets a blistering big-room revamp that’s sure to capture the hearts of both old and new fans, as this energy-packed anthem features sweltering crescendos, pulverizing beats and bassy palpitations while maintaining the well-known vocals of the original. It’s no surprise that Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike along with Bassjackers produce a monster big-room speaker shaker that’s destined to rip up the mainstage.

The trio of Dimitri Vegas, Like Mike and Quintino come together for their first release of 2021 on Smash the House records. ‘Back To The Oldskool’ is a combination of their many years, and various influences, following their musical passion, dance music! 

From its Thunderdrome-esque intro to the building ravey bass rumble which is ignited by Hot Streak’s iconic 1983 Body Work sample “Music Makes You Lose Control”, that’s been a prominent feature on every dancefloor imaginable. The track launches into a techno-infused dose of industrial arrangement, with faint hardcore sonics, before combining in the break and then unleashing its total might with a gusty psy-trance bassline to round up the songs trip ‘Back To The OldSkool’.

Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike remained ever busy in 2020 with an impressive output of music coming from the Belgian electronic titans. From releasing singles such as ‘The Anthem’ with Timmy Trumpet and ‘Clap Your Hands’ with Fedde Le Grand and W&W, to dropping ‘Get in Trouble’ with Vini Vici. The brother also released a collaboration with Regard titled ‘Say My Name’ which currently sits at 38 million Spotify streams. Dimitri & Mike also teamed up with Mexican singer/influencer Kimberly Loaiza and Belgian producer Azteck for ‘Do It!’. The single received over 50 million TikTok views within 24 hours and has so far received more than 235 million views on the social media platform; leading it to trend in Latin America and the US. From headlining Tomorrowland – Around the World digital festival during the summer and then featuring again for Tomorrowland’s New Year’s Eve digital edition, the brothers did their best to ensure that fans had much to party about during the lockdown period. Even dropping an all-star Christmas album via their label Smash The House.

Fellow collaborator Quintino’s is one of the most prominent faces in the Top100DJs Poll. From dropping his long-awaited debut album, ‘Bright Nights’ at the tail end of 2019, which was met with a wave of fan support earning an impressive 100million+ streams by the summer of 2020. Quintino was also working hard in the studio on new material tracks like ‘Get You Home’ and ‘Out of This World’ feat KiFi on Spinnin’, ‘Ruins’ on Smash The House and his remix of Tiësto and Vintage Culture’s ‘Coffee’ for Musical Freedom. Quintino closed 2020 with a feature on the Smash The House Christmas album.
