Brassica turn for Vivod see’s him on top form following his release on Feel My Bicep late last year (and a mix for LYO few months ago). His "Blue Function EP" is a expansive affair taking in House, Techno, EBM and more with opener "Coco Diaz" starting procedeengs as a weirdo acid burner. We then have a u-turn with "Splash", premiered here, somehow new age house jack but still with that unmistakable Brassica touch. On the flip "Nothing to Say" is an unsettled beast with horror vibes and things are rounded off with title track "Blue Function", a more laid back shroom opus. 
With Blue Function Brassica’s music continues to set him apart ; having already earned himself an enviable list of supporters including Bicep, DJ Harvey, Maceo Plex, Trevor Jackson, Henry Saiz, Andrew Weatherall and Erol Alkan ; Brassica has been winning more hearts and minds with recent Live performances at Warehouse Project, Shine, Marble Factory, Bloc, Corsica Studios and more.

The latest in the Ape-X Community Mix Series comes from Dufraine of Quest 808. Evolving & dubbed out melodies are fused with thick & gritty bass weaved with skippy four-to-the-floor, broken and unapologetic percussions. Navigating the electronic spectrum through house, jungle, electro, ghetto, footwork, acid & trance – the mix spans music from the 80s to present, with particular influence from the sounds of Detroit, Chicago, and the UK.

Once a budding airman with an interest through the ATC of a love of Radio Transmission which led me to become,
Once a Soldier for 16 years in the Royal Corps of Signals I started messing about with frequencies in fact as 9 years a Radio Operator at times I changed no less that 3 frequencies into the face of radios daily.  However this led me being sent to places where copyright law didn't exist and I ended up with a copy of Reason 3 amongst other sea's of available DAW's but this I could replug and re-cable and I was hooked ever since I now choose to allow you the audience the judgment on the song or Album genre is not my destination in here for you will find a smattering of all kinds of electronic sonic treats, Blessings my people and here forthwith
