Robbie Burns song protesting the absorption of Scotland into the English Realm by the Act of Union in 1701. The rogues are alternately the English and the Scottish Nobles who agreed to the Union in order that their debts be paid after a disastrous investment in the first Panama canal.

The Month Of January

Seamus Carmichael is an artist, and traditional singer from County Derry, Northern Ireland. He graduated in 1978 from the College of Art in Belfast. He was Northern Ireland's Rome Scholar in 1981-2 completing a series of prints illustrating the work of Irish Poet Padraic Fiacc. Marriage brought him to the US in 1984 and since then he has lived and worked in Philadelphia and Long Island. Now a resident of Lebanon PA, he promotes Community Arts through the First Friday Art Walk and his involvement in Celtic Music has led to the creation of the long-running Third Saturday sessions at The Hidden Still on Willow Street in Lebanon. His most recent projects have combined art and song in CDs of Celtic Christmas Music and songs relating to James Joyce's Ulysses.
