After releasing dance floor devastating tracks for Intacto and KD Music we are excited to wel-come the Toronto based Sean Collier on Great Stuff. Collier presents two relentlessly grooving modern techno tracks in the form of Great Stuff Grooves Vol. 8.

Track number one “Corduroy Pillow” finds Collier in top form. Monotone percussions, incessant, pumping bass with hypnotizing FX and haunting but full of funk vocals make this track a peak time sure shot.

Sean Collier makes his first appearance on Transmit with the aptly titled "Low Light" EP, which is clearly geared toward all the headz out there. We are introduced to sick territory from the get-go with busy snare edits going hand-in-hand with psychotic effects and warped vocals, while rumbling subs pave the way for a simple, persistent synth stab that dominates the rest of the track. Moving on to "Jig Is Up", things get even more murky with a sparse arrangement that lets the gaps get filled with shadowy effects, creating a totally dubby vibe. Closing up is "Hazard Pay" and follows closely in the footsteps of its predecessors with bubbling, rolling bass and gloomy chords taking center stage as they get mangled and progressively build up. A strong breakdown gives us some air to breathe and the now-trademarked spacious fx add to the cavernous mood.

Foot to the floor is the motto of Canadian Sean Collier, throwing up a knuckle dusting high-five of deep flexing techno that comes after his offer of Handshakes on KD Musics 3rd Kaiserdisco Presents compilation in 2013. The clipped, almost garagey kicks of Chuggernaut run over the dancefloor like a 16-wheeler, travelling in darkness and trapping rabbits in headlights, and flashing a mysterious underbelly along its hard-line route. The loaded beats of Seeing Things hammer home a second round of bluntness, shoving drums to the front and having a compact selection of shimmers and FX ricochet off the tracks stone coldness that puts the pro in uncompromising.

It’s no secret that the work of Toronto-based Sean Collier is making a dent on the international music scene. His journey in music began in 2004 when he had the opportunity to DJ at what was Toronto’s haven for dance music lovers – The Guvernment Nightclub. After experiencing the wonder of moving a dance floor, Sean became intrigued by the intricacies and dynamics of high quality techno music, and spent the next few years mastering the art of music production. His first big EP titled Gray Matter was released on Intacto and sent waves through the technosphere catching the attention of heavy hitters Paco Osuna, Joris Voorn, Monika Kruse, Kaiserdisco and more.
Sean has since released chart-topping tracks on international music labels like 100% Pure, Tronic,  Bitten, Transmit Recordings, and more. There’s no question that the output of Sean Collier’s work is a reflection of his vast technical knowledge, his laser focus on producing high quality music, and his self-admitted tendency toward perfectionism. 
Upon listening to his recent releases like Red Mosquito, which charted #14 in the Techno Top 100, or Bar None which came in at #18 and you’ll get a sense of Sean’s signature sound: dark with monstrous grooves, explosive percussion and deep, driving basslines. Sean’s music is regularly supported by international artists like Paco Osuna, Adam Beyer, Carlo Lio, DJ Boris, Kaiserdisco, 2000 And One, and Sam Paganini, just to name a few. His music makes regular appearances in DJ sets and radio shows, including Adam Beyer’s Drumcode. As 2016 progresses, Sean’s focus is on one thing - produce fine-tuned, intelligent dance music that moves the world.
