Flow / Fuego fuses Stephan Jacobs’ west coast crunk, urban stabs and strong melodies with Mudra's incredible sound design and edgy neuro baselines, the result is a marriage of sounds that compliment each other so well that they lead to relentless body twisting, gyrations and wiggles, otherwise recognized as a version of uncontrollable dancing.

This collaboration first started when Mudra and HNGVR won the SKIO Music remix competition for ill.Gates & Stephan Jacobs - Flying ft. Jackie Rain. Stephan heard the HNGVR & Mudra remix and had to meet these emerging Italian producers, the result is this Flow / Fuego, for good measure they also added a remix by An-ten-nae that brings out that west coast crunk style even more.

Stephan Jacobs is a seasoned veteran of the festival circuit, lending his talents to such noteworthy events as, Van’s warped tour, Coachella, Lightning in a Bottle, Identity Festival, Envision, and a direct support role for Pretty Lights on the Illumination tour. His list of collaborations and official remix credits include artists such as Benny Benassi, Showtek, Emancipator, Run DMT, Ill-Gates, James Zabiela, DVBBS, Martin Garrix, and Griz. He is also a founder of Producer Social and tech venture ‘Sesh’.

Mudra is a hot emerging talent from Sardinia, gaining instant recognition for his epic sound design and a slew of banging EPs, collaborations and remixes on Muti Music. Mudra’s EPs, Divinorum, Kāla, and Monarch, have received accolades from a wide variety of bass music blogs as well as many that follow world fusion beats, like The Untz, Outtallectuals, Ethnotechno, and Dubiks, amongst others.

Fuego

Bass music producer/DJ, Stephan Jacobs is back from a short hiatus with the highly anticipated release of his forthcoming EP “Nonlinear” - out June 8 via Producers Social. “Nonlinear” shows Stephan carving out yet a new sound for himself- one that doesn’t rely so much on heavy baselines. Stephan continues to push the envelope of his music production by taking all the knowledge he has gained thus far to incorporate a new arsenal of techniques that instead draw listeners in with a full spectrum of melodies layered over the same fullness of sound you are used to with his music. His evolved sound widens subs to cover all frequencies of his signature style. Stephan’s refined sound embodies an essence of maturity that reflects both musically and in his personal life. It transcends through every track on the EP, making “Nonlinear” not only an epic comeback for Stephan, it is a timeless body of music and one of the biggest releases of the summer.

“Nonlinear” is more than your average EP. It is an entire live show performance featuring what Stephan believes are his most "timeless" tunes. He incorporates vocalists, an orchestra, brass, live drums, AV and a way to experience his music like never before. He will be taking a short break from DJ sets over the next few months to focus on further developing the live show. The Clipping Paths series compiled by Dov1 continues with a version themed on all things influenced by Dub / Reggae / Island Vibes. The roster featured are some familiar Muti Music artists , along with some fresh faces for the future. The compilation kicks off in the 85BPM range and as the compilation progresses, moves it’s way down to deeper 70BPM Dubstep and softer vibes. We hope you feel a little bit of the dub, a little bit of the skank and bounce and then a good amount of soft and heady chill vibes.

The original Clipping Paths compilation in 2007 set a tone for many emerging sounds from Muti Music and featured ‘then’ new artists Ooah, Vibesquad, Audiovoid, Nanda, Timonkey, Slidecamp and Muti regulars like An-ten-nae and Dov1, needless to say it has been quoted by many as an influence and has proven to help define new sounds that have blown up in the years that followed.
