Previews for Truth Diamonds 3 is finally here.

A compilation of various polishing diamonds found deep in the Earth itself. Each diamond produced under high pressure and temperature some 250 kilometres in the Earth’s mantle. From breakbeat to house and techno and further into acid and trance, Truth Diamonds 3 consists of 10 crystal elements with the ability to disperse light of different colors and emotions. Truth diamonds can be worth millions.

Grim Beazley’s ‘Acid Leaf’ evokes a memory of crowded peak time floors. The song’s gentle introduction gives way to powerful 303/909 interplay and leaves us yearning to go back to that place.

Paying homage to the first documented conjoined twin brothers, 'Siamese Twins Records' are a label based in Thailand run by Sunju, Johan, and Taychin from Karma Klique, with Yoshi from 禁 JIN Records. ST are fast becoming a recognised home for authentic, tribally rooted sounds introducing Asian artists and creating symbiotic dialogues with producers around the globe - "Two Heads, One Path, One Pace".

We premiere the bonus track of this remix package, and one we featured in our February monthly Balamii show. It comes in the form of the "Eternal Injection Rework" - a trance inspired peak time builder, which steadily meanders through the eccentric landscapes and hypnotic blends of the original track. The whole package as a whole is most definitely worth checking out too, with reworks from Full Circle (aka Joakim and Alexis Le-Tan) and S.O.N.S under his SYO moniker.

The B-side showcases the more uplifting ‘light and airy’ side of Zobol’s melody enriched productions intertwined with Toke’s fully charged open/close/sunrise/sunset masterpiece.

Gene On Earth returns with a new music outlet, but this time he’s not alone. After three years spent establishing the sound of his label Limousine Dream through a succession of five EPs and one full length album, Gene has taken the next logical step and opened the doors to a plethora of artists, both new and established. TSOL - The Sound Of Limo - initiates a new series under the Limousine Dream umbrella. This first release is a triple vinyl compilation with 14 previously unreleased tracks. Visual Art and Music have historically shared an important, entwined relationship; often posing questions of which provoked which in a project? What about when the imagery is a medieval surrealist, hyper coloured XTC wonderland? Genre-blurred and stirred, daring and dynamic dance music for the twistedly imaginative minds and bodies! The Tapestry of Sound is an audio tribute to the liquid lockdown Tapestry of 2020, a wall-size mixed media art piece originally intended for a live-stream backdrop; despite not being completed in time, it became the epicentre of communal creative junction & release - no limits or logical sense. The result, a sonic terrarium cultivated by longtime partners in crime D. Tiffany and Roza Terenzi; with the help of friends, weaving their sapphic magic into something wicked and new for STEP02, Tapestry of Sound.

A maypole is a tall wooden pole often erected as part of late 19th century European Midsummer folk festivals, around which a dance often takes place; coinciding with Summer Solstice, or in Corona-era... Scrollstice. The A-side presents two contrasting offerings of the Maypole Theme, opening with the Surrealist Piano Roll Mix; an effortless euphoria gliding and twirling amidst a rolling 2-step garage routine, playfully anticipating melodic ecstasy via black and white keys. A complementary contrast offered by the Looming Giant Mix; sleek and deep. A hot-femme fiasco, driving and deviating between 4/4 and a freaky broken plot-twist; evoking imagery of the night, skipping fiercely round the pole; which was often considered a symbol of the union between masculine and feminine energy.

Wasp Of A Woman initiates the B side blowout, stripped back and sensual, but don’t be fooled; this is a straight-up b0mb. Low end throbbing underneath ferociously swung drums, topped by microphone assassin Kaylin with the fire lyrical content, a true upcycle of genres to set the mood for a flammable dancefloor. Cooling off, only slightly for a cigarette break, is Inhale, Exhale the final track from the EP. The tempo finally settling down but bumping up the groove with thumping toms guiding a playful party-starter, rhythmic and melodically inspired; infectiously cheeky with subliminal naughty memos teasing their way in through the backdoor.

Let your mind run wild with this effortless collaboration, two minds sharing the same obscurely forward-thinking visionary, the Tapestry Of Sound; a Meta Musical Time Capsule.

Balearic edit alert by Sir @tropical-tempo-records from his Mediterranean island.
TP first heard La Union - Maracaibo at a club called “Shoom” during the second Summer of Love, and really had a crush on its Balearic vibe. With its house pianos and beat it always got people dancing. The remix made it quite different from the bands other stuff, but again there were a few bits he didn't like, including a flute sound that he found bothering, so one Sunday afternoon 26 years after he first heard this tune he did a bit of reminiscing and edited it.

The landscape was a wonder to behold; flowers danced in the wind next to strange, angular plants, and huge ferns towered high into the sky. Though the sun's rays beat down on the plant life below from morning to night, they blossomed and flourished in these tropical conditions, happily existing in their own microscosm. One where nature ruled and human's weren't there to destroy it...

After an almost year long hiatus, London-based imprint air miles return with a new offering from Familiar Strangers boss Remotif. The Bristol DJ and producer, who has previously released music via Alfresco Disco and his own imprint, makes his debut on air miles with the transcendental 'Gondwana at Noon' which, following the format of the label's last offering, comes complete with three remixes from Nathan Micay, Molly and Jeigo.

Bristol producer Boulderhead combines his affinity to minimalism with a range of influences across the club spectrum on Super Portal.

The minimal, breakbeat flaked Metamaterial opens before the stripped-out acid of the aptly named Wanna Go To A Party that evokes its title. On the flip, Super Portal combines broken bristol techno rhythms with a hypnotic driving synth while skeletal stepper Humons combines muted chords with skippy drums. Closing proceedings is Grooverider, a rumbling roller that succeeds in making a lot out of few elements.

‘Super Portal’ drops on Friday 30th April, via Running Out Of Steam.
