We recently had a remix competition for one of Drunken Kong's tracks called 'Peace'. Over 300 producers submitted their remixes and we chose three winners. Japan's Hisashi Aochi delivered a Balearic piano infused remix, whereas Italian's Stiv Hey and The Southern gave the track a more peak time treatment. To finish off the winners, UK's Ettica delivered a sublime melodic interpretation. We are very proud of all the remix submissions and want to congratulate the winners for a job well done!

While Tronic Radio recently had its 400th episode Laurent Garnier delivered a storming set for us. One of the stand out tracks was undoubtedly the elegant Detroit influenced track by Jules Wells and Mason Rubinstein - Revolutionary Time. We decided to license this track from the well-respected label, Hijacked, to give the song a new life and add some modern remixes. For the remixes, we recruited our favorite Japanese artist, Drunken Kong. While staying true to the original, Drunken Kong added some percussion and their trademark energy, with an epic break. Much love to Detroit Techno!

Our mixologist is Pablo Bozzi. A man of many aliases and collaborative projects including Lapse Of Reason, Imperial Black Unit and Lost Highway. Last appearing on Jennifer Cardini & Noura Labbani's label earlier this summer remixing Javi Redondo, this is his debut EP for Dischi Autunno and it sounds as delicious as the title tastes...

Prime party starter 'Broken Siren' plays the role of the copper mug. An essential vessel for any true Moscow Mule. Sturdy, swaggering-yet-stately, its brazen big beats are bold enough to contain all ingredients that follow. 

'Half Moon' is the ginger beer. A powerful blast of 80s synth-struck cinematica steeped in emotion, the major key energy fizzes with hope.

'Morse Code' is the vodka. A dot here. A dash there. Stern, grounding, foreboding. A post-apocalyptic adventure, once again rooted in Italo, film scores and EBM, this is the dark side of the glass... Before we finally add the twist.

 'Last Moscow Mule' is that crucial burst of lime that brings the whole shebang together. A rainbow of synths and futurized Italo aesthetics. A disco ball heart beating in a new romantic suit of armour. It's the flavour that cuts through everything and reflects everything you've tasted so far on the EP. Moodiness, optimism, breakbeats, drama, theatre and total escapism. Go on, you deserve it.

The consistently impressive Imran Khan has garnered continued critical acclaim over the past eighteen months. His rapidly growing production portfolio features a host of original and remix material, signed to the likes of Particles, Stellar Fountain and Proton Music, supported by Dmitry Molosh and Nick Muir among many others. 

Another Meanwhile debutant, the first of two remixes sees Imran Khan’s aptly titled Sunset Mix deliver a cone-melting bass groove that is the perfect stripped back version of the one created by GMJ & Matter in their original versions of Lost On Origin. A heavy beat and whip-cracking percussion add further weight as the multi-layered pads and rich melodic phrasing of the original seeps into Khan’s rework.
