yourboykiran (Kiran) is an A&R, DJ, Producer, Presenter, and Curator based in London. His sound is inspired by a wide range of influences from Baile Funk, Jersey Club, Asian Underground, UKG, UK Funky and UK Dubstep to Electro, Footwork, 160 and Jungle.

On the EP yourboykiran shared, “I wanted this EP to be a bit of a showcase of the range of tracks I like to produce and play, and be something that people would want to dance to in a club! Being 3.5 years into my production, I'm constantly trying to produce different genres to build my skills and learn how to take inspiration from one genre and bring it into another. Some of the sounds in these tracks are inspired by other producers and tracks that don't necessarily relate to the track I've made, and I really love that element of genre-fusing and blending things together. I also really love working with vocals, and I think there's something about the way a vocal sounds, that provides some sort of weird familiarity and draw to a track. Even if it's subtle vocal chops, I feel like it really draws me in. I've also tried to incorporate contrast into the tracks - there's something about a song having both bitter and sweet elements that I've always enjoyed. These 4 tracks work with vocals in different ways, with some being more specific vocals with actual lyrics, and others being more a vocal chop, and using it as an instrument.”
