In these winter days, relaxed, soulful music inspires me the most. Music that gives me a cosy, comfortable feeling, where you can dance or chill, alone or with friends. This eclectic set is a mix of the music that sweetens my winter days. Many different genres of music are included, such as world, downtempo, funk, disco, hiphop, cosmic, jazz and more. You can find something great in each genre if you take your time and approach it without prejudice. Each genre expresses a different basic feeling... wonderful! 🌈✨ Enjoy the winter feelings!🙌🌪

Zudem ist Flatline seit Mitte 2011 Mitglied der Live Drum n Bass Band "Urban Breakbeat Orchestra" ( urbanbreakbeatorchestra.de ). Seit 2022 außerdem Resident in der Kreativfabrik Wiesbaden, bei der Drum n Bass Party "Der gebrochene Freitag".

Husa & Zeyada's sound simmers towards indie-rock dance electronica, draped in English and Arabic lyrics, open for experimentation. This inward trip is also visual - in an ongoing comic parallel world, Husa & Zeyada give center-stage to the more curious and peculiar parts of their selves. Each release is accompanied by illustrated stories of the little creatures that inhabit our minds; the ones that spring from our subconscious, shaped by pressures and desires. These characters explore what happens when we listen to the creative monsters under our skin.

A dream come true. That was my gig at @theGardensOfBabylon Festival 2023. It was everything I thought and hoped it would be, and the fact that I got to close one of the stages at the end of the festival was the big cherry on the cake.

Thank you to everyone that was involved, from creating the line-up to decorating and managing the stage. And of course thank you if you were there dancing or dreaming, without you this wouldn’t have been so amazing.

In 2016 I went to -now my dear friend, back then only my favorite DJ- Mira's birthday at Kater Blau for the first time. I was super into music, making mixtapes at home, going to so many parties and writing about them but not a DJ yet.

The vibe of the club, the music in all floors, and the fact that Mira is big supporter of female acts and seeing all these badass women playing mind-blowing music at this party had its mark on me.

Watching these legends Mira, Britta, Mimi Love, Mila Stern, Caleesi, I wanted to do it myself and I found the motivation, courage and inspiration because they were also women like me! Representation is so important!

In the following years I kept going to this party for my yearly dose of inspiration and of course fun!

Over the years, inspired by Mira and being colleagues now, we became friends and her impact on my life wasn't just musical. She's such a wise and wholesome person with integrity and the heart in all in the right places, that having her as a friend and inspiration definitely made me a better person and my journey of the new international touring DJ way smoother.

in 2021 I was even supposed to play for Mira's 44th birthday for the first time but the pandemic... (I mean I don't even need to finish this sentence). I ended up playing her 44.5 in Summer, the Ersatz Katzen party :)

Anyway, fast forward to 7 years and the birthday queen not only invited me to play her 46 Katzen party but also gave me the biggest honor of taking over the stage after her.

Playing Thursday in NYC, Friday in Montreal, flying back to Europe on Saturday, Sunday noon I arrived to Berlin like a zombie. Sleep before and after the set is hard but during... Actually not that bad. I was on a dream state throughout my set.

It felt really like a dream playing in a room not too long ago gave me the inspiration to be here today celebrating a women who always lifts others up as she rises. 

I also played music from my label Marginalia, I heard Mira and Mila Stern playing Marginalia too and I also two new artists from Marginalia family, Bakayan and D’aria were In the room when I played their unreleased music! What a moment 
I stayed sleep dancing until late because of all the incredible music

what an honor to play at this unique birthday celebration, I am grateful to life

Cyria - The Cosmic Jungle Amsterdam

After 5 years of nothing, this is my first something. 

A piece showcasing harmonic rediscovery, changing tides and a brand new direction for myself as a creative. I lost my music library to a hard drive failure in 2019 - 95% of the collection gone within the space of a few moments, a devastating day indeed. 

I took some time to reflect and during this process completely lost touch with my creative path. It wasn’t until late 2023 that I realised how much I missed designing sets and being a so-called emotional shepherd. I'd been spending significant amounts of time behind the eyes and not enough time in the body. In this moment it became clear that now was the time to rebuild. 

The disastrous experience of losing everything had transitioned into a beautiful opportunity for rebirth and this set is the first product of the shift. 

With that being said, I believe perfection is the recognition and appreciation of imperfection. 

With the rise of sync, the use of AI and shifts away from the natural order towards synthetic perfection, I deliberately decided to leave the imperfections in this mix - It’s unmastered, raw and honest. The intention here is to showcase that there is a human on the other side and that it’s important to remember our roles as Artists. Outsourcing components of the creative process to technology may be useful in the short term, but in the long term dissolving the barrier between the two becomes disruptive.
