VVV NonLinear Mode Experiment

My trusty SH-101 running through a single instance of ValhallaRoom. Mix at 50%, Decay at 100 seconds, Large Chamber algorithm, with a fair amount of chorusing from the early and late sections. The SH-101 is using Saw and 1 OCT DOWN SubOsc - no pulse width modulation, and no modulation effects other than from ValhallaRoom.

Recorded in some ancient version of GarageBand on my G4 Mac Mini.

Just a little jam and an attempt at making an upbeat, acid house inspired track.  Not sure if it technically qualifies as "acid" because there's so many genres of electronic music and I don't have the slightest clue of them all.  Just thought it sounds cool :-)  Enjoy.

Moog Messenger, running through a single instance of ValhallaFutureVerb™. The Frozen reverb mode in FutureVerb is being used to turn the monophonic synth into a synth pad with a soft attack, a much longer duration, and ensemble style modulation.

3 tracks of Moog Messenger (main 5th chord, FM shortwave sounds, arpeggiated high notes). CR-78 and 909 bass drum samples from Ableton. ValhallaFutureVerb™ used for reverb, spring reverb, and echoes.

Messenger From The Void

Minimalist drums through ValhallaFutureVerb™, with the Echo section being used to create a pseudo spring reverb. Fuzz guitars (D*A*M Meathead on the left, Basic Audio Scarab Deluxe on the right) processed through FutureVerb, using the ReverseOctUp echo mode to create a shimmered reverb sound. The shimmered reverb is processed by AutoPan in Live, generating a synth-esque trance gate sound.

There is a fair amount of chorusing being used. If you compare this to the NarcissusPianoCathedral2 example, you can hear how the chorusing in the Dark Chamber mode is more "diffuse," and less prone to random pitch jumps.

A simple Zither ostinato with wave-shaper distortion processed with four instances of ValhallaDelay (parallel).

Example of the upcoming ValhallaDelay as the only processing used on this track. All reverb, delay and pitch-shifting is from ValhallaDelay; all effects kick in after two bars of the music completely dry.

My SH101 being processed by the Ambience algorithm in ValhallaVintageVerb. I programmed a simple sequence into the 101, and am tweaking the sliders in real time. Don Gunn automated the Attack slider of the Ambience algorithm in Logic, to crossfade between the short randomized early reflections and a longer late reverb.
