Label linchpin @timothyclerkin returns to Ransom Note Records with the 'Unborn' EP, home to four brand spanking new rave bangers!

The first track to be unleashed is ‘Primary Function’, which sounds like a dubbed-out Boards of Canada on a particularly warped mushroom trip.

Timothy’s music has brought us many special moments over the past few summers and seems bound to do so again, with the new EP already getting played by the likes of Optimo, Lena Willikens and Andrew Weatherall.

After cutting his teeth as one half of Eskimo Twins, Clerkin launched his solo career in 2014 under the now-retired Heretic moniker. Having released on labels including Throne of Blood, Hard Fist and Tusk Wax, he’s since graduated to running his own Insult To Injury imprint from his new base in Amsterdam.

Timothy Clerkin - Primary Function

@AndrewClaristidge teams up once again with the mysterious @Workerpoor for a new EP on the eclectic @NightNoiseMusic label. The release was written between their studios in la Bretagne, Paris and Berlin, and comes backed with remixes from David Carretta, Cristiano Roberto, The Soviet Union and Tales of Voodoo.

Claristidge was formerly part of Acid Washed and has toured the world with his multi-faceted sounds that veers from pop to wave to techno. Workerpoor, meanwhile, has been at the heart of the dark electro scene on labels like Zone with artists like Arnaud Rebotini, The Hacker and Gesaffelstein. Their latest EP makes use of analog synths, drum machines and field recordings from the lake of Callac de Bretagne, so brims with life.

The second track on the release is ‘Slow Uppercut’, a slow, ambient, robotic piece redolent of Boards Of Canada that will sink you into a cosmic abyss.

Synth disco don @TheSovietUnion takes it up a notch and serves up an intergalactic workout of pixel thin synths and punk-funk drums that are fantastically visceral and direct.

Born and bred in Iceland. A true underground hero with a long history of producing quality underground house and techno tracks, stretching back to 1995. Including recent releases and remixes on labels like Affin, Dialtone, Gung Ho!, Arabica, Illegal Ninja Moves, Revolucion and too many others to mention. As the owner of a local record shop in Reykjavik and the brainchild behind countless parties over the years he is considered by many as the man largely responsible for creating the healthy clubscene that exists in Reykjavik today. Known both as an excellent producer and remixer Sean is also a well respected Dj in his own right and over the years has shared the dj booth with many leading names from Sasha, Digweed, Sander Kleinenberg, Nick Warren, Josh Wink and Steve Lawler through to Dubfire, Richie Hawtin, Layo &amp; Bushwacka and many many more.
