I got myself a birthday present. It was on sale for $45 brand new.. So I got myself a TC Electronic DarkMatter Distortion. I've learned that it doesn't play well with my Jekyll & Hyde pedal... but it does sound pretty great on it's own.... and for stuff like this I think it works out great! Happy almost birthday me! Since this is was 3 different guitars sound like with the Dark Matter Distortion I decided to call the song dark Matter... and just like the pedal (which you would think would be insane modern distortion) Isn't insane. It could be the story of a dream slowly dissipating in the morning... it could be A rocket breaking out of the atmoshpere. You can decided... but it was an excuse to write music... and thats ok with me.

Using the Sample reducer and the square wave in the Source Audio C4 getting that semi-video game, kind of vocal formant sound with out any filter applied. Two guitar tracks panned left and right, bass center, then The Magical 8bit plug in creating noise generated bass and snare drum.

Bitcrushed Square Sample

Using the intelligent harmonies on he Source Audio C4 to create a harmonic chord with my guitar playing. Adding in the Nemesis delay and Ventris Dual Reverb for ambience. Occasional Volume swells.

Can't Stop The Feeling Guitar Preset

Here is a textural pad ambient reverb effect I designed in the Source Audio Ventris Dual Reverb Pedal. It is primarily a single Engine reverb sound, but you can switch between the primary E-Dome pad reverb and a Washy revers reverb by holding the option switch.

DreamSphere Ventris Preset

In this clip I'm trying a new mellow slow Vibe preset with EQ on my Source Audio Lunar Phaser Pedal. It is supposed to be a little swirly, but also not too pronounced. The more gain you add, the more swirly it sounds. Starting with the clean signal, then adding the phaser, then  the Nemesis Delay, and finally going to the crunch channel on my amp and then adding more dirt. 

It sort of reminds me of using a lesser version of Chorus from the 80s. Which is nice but not too over the top.

Mellow Slow Vibe Preset

Using the Helix engine on the Nemesis delay to create a glitchy filter octave up sound as if it is being rapidly sampled and delayed and shifted upward. Super cool texture. Use a higher Mix for more glitchy octave sounds and less guitar.

Glootchy Mood Preset

Using the C4 Synth as a multi-fx unit now-a-days! Distortion? Check... Filters? Check. Octaves? Check. All 3 at the same time? Check. This preset has a sort of Rage against the machine vibe. If You use Control 1 to give it more drive, it'll get you there even on a clean amp.
