We're very excited to bring you the second instalment of the series, and our first guest mix: None other than Mr Phil Mison! A chance meeting with José Padilla lead to a two-season DJ residency at the iconic Café Del Mar in Ibiza in the mid nineties. Phil continues to produce and tour the world. A true champion of the Balearic scene, we were thrilled that he said Yes when we reached out to ask if he’d like to contribute to the series, especially seeing as the mix he’s submitted is a very special live recording of a set he did at the Café Del Mar back in August 1994. It’s a simply gorgeous selection of White Isle classics and oddities including ‘Mediterranean Dream’ by Shahin & Sepehr, ‘Voodoo Jammin’ by Dancing Fantasy and ‘Yawn Yawn Yawn’ by Sth Notional, just to mention a handful as there are so many great records in this mix - Seminal music from the golden age of chill.

digging deep into my collection for this one, from early 90s italian house masters don carlos and alex neri, all the way through to new balearic sounds of chaos in the cbd and glenn Davis , we used to call stuff like this ambient house back in the day and it was played in raves clubs and free parties all over the uk, from sasha to DIY, it was the piano style house sound. I’ve also included some new artists who are breathing new life into this early sound… from Rome, to Ibiza to London and back… this is a all vinyl mix, expect snap crackles and the odd duff mix, as thats how it was, photo taken by my self, Ibiza 2018….we continue

Well, I've finally managed to get round to putting something out this year... I blame the lack of sunshine in the UK.
Dark Star, the sundowner mix, is a back to my love of ambient and 'horizontal' tunes, slowly building into some fine Balearic tracks new & old, all under 100 bpm.

12s That Weatherall Taught Me

Mixes recorded using a basic set-up of only x2 Technic 1210's, a Allen & Heath X:One23c mixer, Roland Space Echo guitar pedal plus a single Numark CD deck...100% NO SOFTWARE!...Keeping it real...ha ha!

An avid record collector & clubber who fell into DJing by chance in 1984 at the age of 17 in a local club in South London playing an eclectic mix of Boogie, Motown, Electro & Jazz Funk. Soon after became the tour DJ for (the songwriter & producer Mark Topham and his Jazz Funk band at that time) 'The Juice' back in the mid 80's. 
Acid House changed everything by the Spring of '88, Sean being a regular/member at Nicky Holloway's 'The Trip' London...by '89 he was resident DJ at a bar/club called 'The Trading Post' in South London, which lasted a number of years. Playing everything from Balearic & Italian 'piano' to eventually Progressive House, to a great crowd.
Throughout the 90s, Sean was playing regular slots at 'Dolly Rockers' & 'Just Cant Get Enough' plus lots of one-off parties. Warming up for the likes of Dave Dorrell, Judge Jules, Brandon Block, Chris & James & Leftfield's Paul Daley amongst many.
Playing at the 'Gardening Club', 'Legends', 'Maximus' & many other top venues at the time.

Sean still plays out today at selected vinyl only parties, so get in touch regarding bookings.
