Steve Bug has spent the past two decades nurturing his Poker Flat imprint into one of Germany most notable electronic labels, he’s released eight albums and countless EP's whilst holding down an impressive international DJ career. His debut EP on Aus features Mr V with his historic and powerful spoken word vocal on the A side, V’s educational lyrics depicting a genre’s golden era. Cinthie's remix on the flip takes the og from classic into contemporary, classily as she always does which is probably what’s led her to be the next in line for DJ Kicks. North London's Singer/Songwriter Soulful Emma-Louise (S.E.L) has firmly secured her reputation within the UK Soul scene. A classically trained musician, S.E.L started her career within the UK Reggae scene and soon joined British Soul legends Soul II Soul, both as a lead and backing vocalist, and toured the world as part of the collective for over a decade. She re-launched herself as an independent artist in 2015 with the anthem 'Elevation' and by 2020, she had worked with the likes of DJ Spen, Mica Paris, Booker T, SOS Band and Alicia Keys; to name a few. With worldwide tours and 3 top ten hits both in the UK and USA, Soulful Emma-Louise's album 'Loc'd in Consciousness' (2021) also hit No1 in the UK Soul charts. Having taken a break from Music in 2021 to focus on being a mum to her twin daughters, S.E.L is back creating with long-standing creative partners DJ Spen and Michele Chiavarini with a plethora of soulful goodness forthcoming. 
Michele Chiavarini's music career spans over 30 years, working with the world's musical elite including Robbie Williams, Kylie Minogue, Diana Ross, Donna Summer, Moby, Gloria Gaynor and more. In house music, Michele is best known for his work with the likes of Seamus Haji, DJ Spen, David Morales, Dave Lee, Mark Knight to Melba Moore, Byron Stingily and Diane Charlemagne, among so many others. In 2019 Michele launched his record label with Fernanda Reis, SPRY Records. Since 2022, Michele has become part of the successful REVIVAL team, alongside star DJ/producer Mousse-T, producer and mixer James F Reynold and DJ/producer Soul Avengerz, Emeli Sande, collaborating with artists including Emeli Sandé and Jools Holland.

Dance for Relief is a project that's been on our minds for a while as a way using our music to help raise funds for causes that we are passionate about. With the world currently struggling with the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic now felt like it would be the right time to get this project started.

The first project under this banner is a compilation of edits, remixes and secret weapons from various friends, with Volume 1 focusing on cosmic, tribal and trancey sounds of the 90s.

All money from this release will go straight to Direct Relief (directrelief.org), a charity who's mission is to improve the health and lives of people affected by poverty or emergencies, and who are doing great work to ensure that protective gear and critical care medications get to as many health workers as possible. We felt they were a particularly both in the midst of current Covid-19 pandemic and beyond.

Finally, we'd like to say a huge thank you to all the artists involved who have given their skills and time during a difficult period to help make this release happen in support of a worthy cause.
