An instrumental I finished five minutes ago that I actually started from scratch, which is rare for me.  This one features a sample by Esther Phillips called "That's All Right With Me," which has most famously used by Mobb Deep and LL Cool J.  I still had to take a shot at it, and I wanted to make it sound different from their versions.  This song gives me the feel of flying or walking on a sunny day, so one day it may become a full song with that theme.  Enjoy!

Sade's "Kiss Of Life" is such a good song I couldn't really do much to change it, so I chopped up pieces that I felt went together and punched up the drums.  I started this one this morning, paused to make "All Right With Me," and came back and finished the drums.  I imagine the MC describing love for the music, which is tied together in the hook when Sade sings, "I swear the whole world could feel my heartbeat."

Yesterday I finally got around to looking for the Amen Break for a beat I'm working on, so I downloaded the album and put it on.  The first song that played was great!  So that's as far as I got, because I realized I could chop it up and turn it into something.  Of course, after I dug into the song some more I realized there were better parts to chop up, and this is what I came up with.  Today I was able to put together the drums and bass and arrange it, so here we have it!  And for once I've never heard anyone else chop this--whew!
