The members of A&O, who had a very busy year despite 0 live performances. All the friends I've made online who have encouraged us to keep experimenting, and all the new friends I've yet to meet.

SCI025 – Chilling on the Couch .03 LP

The 25th release on Scientific is the third part of the “Chilling on the Couch” series, which stands for deep, atmospheric, experimental music around the 170bpm mark. 

This time Scientific brings you 15 chilled out tracks, starting with some tunes that have an experimental, deep drum&bass vibe to them, such as Microfunk Crew (Bop & Oak)’s remix of Naibu’s “Fighting for Attention” track that was released on Naibu’s “Case Study LP”, another release on Scientific. Mav’s “From here to Eternity”, for which he teamed up with newcomer Sargon Empire, as well as Brazil’s legendary Bungle with his tune “Concession”, Parhelia’s “Life for Saturn”, Eissi’s “Star”, both Marso & Gala’s “Attraction” and “Untruth” and mSdoS & dBase’s collab “Greek Oracles” are other great examples of this.

The other half of the album edges more towards a combination of soothing ambient music, downtempo/triphop vibes and here and there some deep dubstep (deepstep/chillstep) influences. You will hear this in Halo’s 2 tracks “A few days without Darkness” and “E X I T” that have a bit of a Massive Attack kind of vibe, but also in Physical Illusion’s “Ascent to Orbit”, Readsense & FlashbackFM’s “Take me way”, Parhelia’s “Over a fields of Light” and Seathasky’s “Beauty made in Small Pieces”.
All in all, this album is a pure trip, perfect for those that like to explore the deep realms of space. We hope you like it!

The Green Flamingos are an eclectic and electric duo set to explore lunar reveries and multicolored atmospheres through introspective and cathartic songs. They seek the perfect blend of pop, r'n'b, soul and psychedelia. The promise of a magical journey from darkness to light.

After a first EP in 2015 and a first LP "The Southern Oracle" in 2017 under the colors of Pop Club Records, The Green Flamingos founded their own independent label “The Southern Oracle Records” in 2020 and released their second LP "In The Witching Hour"in 2021.

The Green Flamingos are back in 2024 with new singles "Riding On The High Tide", "Get In Line", "The Good in You" which follow the 5 track EP "Playing The Game" released on the label The Southern Oracle Records. Produced by Julien Garric and mixed by Gary "Riga" Burke, these tracks mark a distinctive sonic shift, a sophisticated, kaleidoscopic blend of soul, pop and funk, weaving an expansive sonic thread towards The Green Flamingos duo's musical inspirations.
 
Multi-instrumentalist Julien Garric and singer Yoanna Claquin are both halves of The Green Flamingos, a project on the quest for sparkling balance of funk, soul and rock, and driven by the will to stay out of any boxes you’d like to keep them in.
 
This duo, both in the city and on stage, cut their teeth on Geneva's alternative music circuit with the elegant The Monkberry Moon Orchestra and electric Rebels of Tijuana. Their aim is to peel off any labels, shaping the sonic plasticity of pop by hijacking the cutting-edge production techniques of hip-hop and r'n'b to the benefit of their melodies, thanks to the excellent Gary "Riga" Burke (Nyon, Switzerland).
 
Impertinent and resolutely prolific, The Green Flamingos now perform on stage in the company of the talented musicians of Skuuted.

Jazz/Fusion keyboard player, composer and producer.  Marketing, advertising, publishing and sales career.  Originally from Chicago, where I developed a strong appreciation for the blues and classical, and moved to New York, where jazz and the fine arts are so deep.  Key musical influences include Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Jimi Hendrix, Joe Zawinul and Weather Report, Chick Corea and Return to Forever, John McLaughlin and the Mahivishnu Orchestra, Stanley Clarke, Scott Henderson and Tribal Tech, Jeff Beck and Jan Hammer, Mike Stern, John Scofield, Pat Metheny, Emily Remler, McCoy Tyner, Bill Evans, John Coltrane, Jimmy Smith, Joey DeFrancesco, Larry Young, Buddy Guy, Santana and Earth Wind & Fire.
