Italian soprano Raffaella Angeletti makes her Seattle and U.S. debuts as Abigaille in “Nabucco.” In the cabaletta of her Act 2 aria, this fearsome princess vows to be avenged upon the sister who is her rival in love and politics: “I will ascend the bloody throne...and then my vengeance shall strike! Wait till you see what kind of queen I will be. Fenena herself will bow down before me...the princess will beg mercy of the slave.” Carlo Montanaro conducted the orchestra of Seattle Opera.
