One of my favourite Photek tunes. Bouncy and sharp breaks, with ethereal vocals. The original is extremely good as well, but somehow Rupert outdoes it.

In my opinion, the best version of Warpdrive. There isn't much mix-up in the breaks or the drops, but it doesn't make this track any worse. It shells. Heavy bass and stinging snares - the proper Crystl way. The initial drop deserves at least 3 wheels on its own.

An absolute tune from Mr Parkes. I think most would go for Metamorphasis on the B side, but its all about Got To Believe for me. The Chic sample is unbelievable. Its incredible how Rupert went from Amen rollers like these to meticulous break science nearer to the end of the millennium - one thing he definitely kept consistent throughout was quality.

Lovely roller. Punchy kicks and deep bass. In my mind this is trademark Lucky Spin/ Deejay sounds. It doesn't have that chopped feeling, instead a fluid continuity breaks.

Slipmaster J - Groundhog Day

Inspirational instrumental. First heard it on Fuck Radio when Chipmunck held his own clashing Griminal and Lil Nasty - "I listen to the kids that are good but under me, and they're still good but under me. Their vexed, suttin like my ex stress, they know they can't got over me". This remix is even better than the original IMO.

Legendary Mala stuff here. This tune sonically presents the link between the original Sound system sound to the sound many call Dubstep - the original tune from Mr. Bojangles is slowly taken over by those screeching synths until the drop comes in and blows the roof off.

The first imprint on the Photek label. At times overshadowed by the Amen rinse-out found on the other side of this release, 'Resolution' is a classic showcase of Parkes' early production genius. A simple arpeggiated melody, accompanied by crisp breaks, fluttering pads, airy vocal samples and boomy 808s.
