I heard you got engaged and I felt a mix of emotions
Somebody else will watch you walk th isle while I’m alone and 
I thought I’d tell you how I feel I guess it’s just me coping 
But I’ll replace that with congrats tell you what I’m hoping 

I hope he loves you and you know what living lavish is
I hope he cuts the crust for you on all  your heart shaped sandwiches 
I hope he tells you jokes that always make you laugh
I hope he brings you fresh fruit 
while you’re taking a bath

He better kiss your forehead before bed and on his way to work 
And even after several years he better not forget to flirt 
Remind you that you’re special and no one can treat you better
Incase you might forget he better write a love letter

I had one too but I deleted the list of names that we shared

our time was temporary but I cherish all the blessings sent to me
