While it is a devastating destiny, theres one clear upside to it: his music, coming from his bed, couldn't be more authentic, honest and true to his emotions. This is real music.

Another year and another forthcoming feature from Yamatai’s Label Manager and core artist Kalane.The Reading based producer has been very busy since his last solo project feature back in May 2024, with key releases on labels such as Sofa Sound, Skankandbass and Delta 9 Recordings, The experienced producer has been soaring up the ranks in popularity capturing fans all around the world with his incredibly unique sound presence which is arguably his best secret weapon. We have to give props to Kalane as he has really nailed the ‘find your own sound’ element already even though he is still so early in his career in Drum and Bass. You know a Kalane tune when you hear It and that is why he is gaining attention from labels and fellow producer alike.

With his biggest year to date last year Josh has set sights on making 2025 an even bigger year, working hard in the studio and stacking up his unsigned folder ready to reach even higher heights. Conversations with labels such as Truth Hertz, Drippyboi, The Sauce and many more 2025 could be the year that truly propels him into the spotlight.Balfouri was his last solo project featuring fellow upcomer Acris, this release was well received across the circuit with feed back and support from fellow peers and idols making this a very memorable release for Josh. This saw Kalane really experiment with the ‘Jump Up’ minimal fusion helping him to gauge the reception for this musical hybrid of styles. ‘His latest single with us ‘Flares / Fractures’ is a homage to Kalane’s undeniably unique sound and a showcase of Josh’s best work to date. Adding elements of jump up mixed with the classic boppy and groovy Kalane sub basses has formed 2 very distinctive tracks that we are proud to have on the label.

Get ready because its almost time, Kalane is back yet again and is ready to make his 2025 statement!
