I discovered this old track recently and loved his pumping bass and tropical vibes with warm lyrics. I wanted to do an fresh edit from the original version.
Julien Clerc is a well known french pop singer, he was the most successful during the 80s-90s. “Mangos” lyrics were written by Serge Gainsbourg. This track was part of the album “Sans Entracte” released in 1980, he also went out in single format the same year.

Pumped but respectful edit from a roots reggae song by All Campbell, full of hope and wiseness. Produced by Clement "Coxsone" Dodd and released in 1972 on the mythical label Studio One from Jamaica. The riddim was used by multiple artists and it may ring a bell when you will hear the first notes of the song.

I discovered the original one and loved the funky disco vibe so I turned it into a DJ friendly edit adding also more energy to the artist first intention.

Jo Dassin was an American-French singer-songwriter and actor. In the 1970s, Dassin's songs were at the top of the charts in France, and he became immensely popular there. Maria is the Side B's first song of ”Les Femmes de ma vie” album released in 1978.

I loved the introspective lyrics and moody atmosphere. The bossa nova-influenced interpretation of the original by Tuxedomoon (1985) had a relaxed, jazzy feel and beautiful vocals.

It had been years since I had wanted to get my hands on this masterpiece from the eponymous album released in 1978. A sensual and sexual disco funk hymn for love, raised by orchestral arrangements and an irresistible female voice.

The original song is an undeniably cheesy masterpiece from 1980, and I wanted to bring a fresh perspective to it. So, I retained the vocals, a well-recognized element from the original instrumental, and rearranged a portion of the bassline. This new version exudes a blend of nu disco and electro, elevating the track to a higher energy level.

The song "Est-ce que tu viens pour les vacances" is a French hit from the 1980s performed by the duo David and Jonathan (and composed by David Marouani and Christian Debord). It tells the story of two young people who meet during the holidays and fall in love. The song was an international success, charting in many countries.

This edit is a dedication to a friend who never stops listening to the original and gave me this idea. I wanted to update this classic disco song with a bassline and rhythm that is a bit outdated. I even added a little filtred break. I Hope you will like the result!
