2024 Metamorphose

Located on the Tanneron Ridges, the Forêt Du Grand Duc covers 90 hectares and offers beautiful views over the Mediterranean Sea, the Bay of Cannes and the Lérins Islands. 

This recording was made at 6am, about 45 minutes before sunrise. We hear nightingales, robins, blue tits, blackbirds and other common woodland birds.

In this episode of the Metamorphosen Series, the two Hamburg based DJs, Internet Offline and Junus created an abstract ride trough recent favorites. The recording seems to be haunted, because as if by magic it has disappeared twice. Now it's here! And what a mix it is. Earthy, bubbly and drummy sounds, mystical tones paired with dubby basses. A trancedental roller coaster!

Not least because of their shared passion for music and art, the two often work together and are involved in numerous projects and events. Playing together, listening to each other, trying out and changing new things is evident in this mix!  Four ears hear more than two!

Crispy morning dawn. Cuckoo and black grouse are in the beginning of their concert and at the same time Boreal owl is about to finish his nightly performance.

This recording of the early spring dawn chorus features song thrush, green woodpeckers (calling and drumming) as well as blackbirds, wood pigeons, crows, wren and great tits. The recording location was close to the Fontaine Saint-Clair in the heart of the forest.
