Believe in Yourself

Atlanta based producer Matt Mansfield, aka Piper Street Sound, created a collaborative EP of instrumental Reggae music with legendary Reggae guitarist Andy Bassford (Toots and the Maytals, Dennis Brown, Horace Andy, Culture, Roots Radics) called 'Black Eyed Peace' (released April 30th, 2021). 

Piper Street Sound now presents four new dub remixes of the songs on 'Black Eyed Peace', crafted by some of his favorite dub engineers: Victor Rice, Mad Professor, Himself, Naram.

'Black Eyed Dub' will be released on April, 5th 2024 by Piper Street Sound

'Black Eyed Peace / Black Eyed Dub' will be available on vinyl with the A side featuring the original EP, and the B side featuring the dub versions.

Melbourne based producer Alex Dickson has been making music since 2011 and made a name for himself with the New Zealand production duo Perverse, releasing on foundational imprint Tempa, Artikal Music UK, Innamind Recordings, Boka & EMI Music.

2016 marked a new era for Alex, with the birth of his solo alias Pugilist and relocating to Melbourne, Australia from Auckland, NZ. 

2017 has been an eventful year for Alex - releasing his debut EP on Fatkidonfire, returning to Artikal Music UK, making a guest appearance on J:Kenzos Rinse FM show and joining the Navy Cut label.

Pugilist is about quality over quantity and is focused on removing genre boundaries and letting the music speak for itself.

Drawing inspiration from Dub, Techno, Jungle and Hip-Hop. And artists such as Rhythm & Sound, Andy Stott. Objekt & Massive Attack, his influences are apparent but he manages to capture a sound of his own.
