This track was made as a part of the Made In China project.

The process of making the track:
In this track, I tried to experiment with a bass line in front and center and on a quickly fading chords progression. To do this, I first wrote the bassline - I wanted it to be quick, but to stay in the same tone so that I could build chords around it. I then played drums to it - you can hear on the hihat that i wanted it to be fast and on the kick and snare, that I tried to keep the steady pace of a standard drum pattern. I then added the chords, with a lot of flanger to create a sense of depth to the track, which it needed at the time. A quick note on the drumkit used, I wanted the drums to sound as acuostic as possible, as these what be clear in the track.

The thoughts behind the track:
When gets you down, through hard times or lack of achievements, always look back at what you started with. Coming into this world - you had nothing but life. As long as you are breathing you still have gained something. Through life we develop and achieve incredible feats just by living. Life is a given adventure that just keeps giving. Even rough time can be changed into gains. Try to open your perspective and change your point of view - then you will find the great gift of life!

The Given Adventure

This track was made as a part of the Made In China Project.
The process of making the track:
A take on a orchestral sound from my new home in China - from where draw inspiration from the feelings of missing. I build up the song around the staccato violins, and add'ed electronics chords to give power to the initial chords. I would then add a basic beat to create a rhytm. The last part of this song was made by playing a harp plugin stocked up on effects to create this otherworldly sound. A lot inspiration comes from my living conditions, but also from the track The Given Adventure, that was made just before this track - so be sure to check that one out if you like the tune!

The thoughts behind the track:
Being so far from home, teaches important lessons of valuing the things you have - when you have them and not when they are lost to you. 
Luckily for me ! I will head home again in a few months and nothing will remain of the struggles but a lesson learned.

The Pain Of Distance

This track was made as a part of the Made In China project.
The process of making the track:
With this track, I wanted to create a quickly played chords supporting a in front lead. I did this by first setting up the chords with a electronic sound and flanger. I furthermore improved on the speed, by adding a downwards going bass to add a feeling of speed. Then I played a sex plugin to create a lead that would stand out from the rest of the track. 

The thoughts behind the track:
The chords and bass rolls on through the whole track - like a train on the right track. This is to symbolise your life going forward and a stready tempo no matter what gets in your way. The sax/lead added then shows your imagination lashing out in different directions. All in all, your life goes on in the same direction - what creates change and achievements outside your narrow road, is your imagination.

This track was made as a part of the album Thoughts.

The process of making the track:
This track was made in the refreshing nights of Bretagne in France. Firstly I wanted to experiment with the sounds of FL Studio - so i tried to include as many instruments as the track could bear. Among all the different kinds of synths, you can hear the piano, violins and cello. I then built up different sounds that might distract in the daily life and used the piano to build up to the impact of these sounds. I then needed something to the carry the song on and act as a foundation for the track - so I added the chords. At first the basic chords didn't sound as inspiring as I wanted them to, so I split the piano chords into different part that would play at different times to create the full chord.

Thoughts behind the track:
As this track was made in a bubble of peace, amidst noise - I tried to capture the feeling of letting out the stress of noise burdens, showed through the clapping and unwanted noises put in the track. The need for rest is presented through the sighs coming in stressfull times of the track. The track is also very long, which shows that you really need time to get all of the stress out of your system. The final sigh before the silence is showing how at last - you can rest.

Thoughts

Letting Out

This track was made as a part of the Made In China Project.

The process of making the track:
The rain and the guitar play, was the source of inspiration for this track. As I sat under my window, trapped inside by the rain, I found myself some entertaining chords that could be bent into different styles and shapes of music. I then started the recordings of these two and built the track from there. I wanted a lead piano to take up the mantle from the guitar - so I played it without to much reverb, so that it would stick out from the rest. I then had the drums. The kick was made to put a pounding behind the strokes of the guitar, while the hi hat created a much needed feeling of speed between the hits of the kick. The last important thing worth mentioning is the orchestra and humming choir in the last part of the song. These two was made to take the track up a notch to create a top of ending.

The thoughts behind the track:
With this track I tried to recreate the calming and inspiring sound of rain through music. The steady pace of the guitar and the drums are meant as the time flowing unchanged as you build up inside - only giving brief breaks for the thoughts to take over. Then, as the song builds up - through the piano and harp, it shows the creations made by this presence of rain. Through inspiration - even a little, we create masterpieces. All in all, this is a song showing it's own creation - a slow process where the drops of ideas and inputs flew steadily down my window.

The process of making the track:
The primary goal for this track was to create a upbeat drum pattern that would shine through the  whole  song. The choice of drumkit did therefore include samples from the MPC House pack. This allowed me to create a beat that did not take to much attention from the rest of the track, but would instead put a silent feeling of rhytm behind it. Afterwards I created the lead from a piano plugin. I detuned it a put a lot of reverb on it to keep it from sounding to harsh and quick-fading. After having recorded this into the track and added bagground chords and transitions to create volume and depth.

The thoughts behind the track:
The thought of stress and relaxation  often keep us from becoming more - thinking a break from everything is best for us. But breaks comes from doing what you like, and less what you must. A dance would be a lot better for us than hours in front of a tv. Rethink breaks - and create a space of peace within your passions!

Dance Till Dawn

This track was made as  a Halloween special.

The process of making the track:
The track started out as an experiment to push the limits of the plugin Hybrid. I tried it out few weeks before and fell in love with it. I therefore, started by selecting the sounds I wanted to make up this track. These included the pulsating chords and the high pitch lead. The pulsing chords were made in four different variations, from slow to fast. 

The thoughts behind the track:
We all know the feeling of going to bed after an eventful day, the silence and the massive train of thought coming rolling down upon you. The time you're alone with your experiences and left to wander through the encounters of the day. This silent hour, where all you wish for is rest - but where doubt is stacking up against you and leaves you with a pounding heart and sweaty palms - until at last, sleep finally take you away. This occurrence is what I've tried to capture in this track, the rising sound level and the intensity which concludes in a silent echo of sleep.

Haunting My Sleep

This track was made as a part of the Made in China project.

The process of making the track:
The most time-consuming work behind this track was choosing the instruments. After some time, my choices fell upon the orchestral strings and the standard piano. Deeply inspired by the artist Crystal Strings, I put a lot of reverb upon these instruments and built my chords around a slow beat. The choice of drums was an easier one, as my working computer was down at the time this track was composed. I, therefore, made use of the limited range of plugins I had available.

The thoughts behind the track:
As this track was so inspired by one of my greatest idols, it symbolises the growth of ourselves. We're always growing, and our idols are lighthouses pointing us in the right direction. We follow them and become more than we were before. This track is a tribute to Crystal Strings and a way to show how much we all can grow in the light of those around us. Never let dreams be dreams! The Growth

This project was made as a part of the Made in China project.

The process of making the track:
This whole track is made around the kick, which sadly stands back for the lead in this final edition. Made by mixing 3 separate kicks, the kick was the fundament for the higher pitch lead. This was made, to follow up on the rhythm of the intro drumkit. 
When the chords and the lead were composed - I changed the chorus drums to a more danced inspired rhythm - which lead to the electronic trance feel the track has now.

The thoughts behind the track:
This project was started on a Monday and ended on a Friday. It is everything I wish the Monday was and that the Friday is. I time to rejoice and let go of whatever troubles your heavy mind. This can be felt through the happy atmosphere adding from my mood Friday. A light tone, begging the Monday to be more cheerful. 
Now, Mondays are not going anywhere and are not going to change by themselves. Then, let us do our part to lighten the day - by playing the cheerful tunes of our favourite track!
