My first original rap track (that I've ever shown anybody).

Clockwork boy is made of time, immortal of sorts but not divine
Sent into hell on the daily but he stays til into heaven at night
Setting his plans for making a mess,
desperately seeking the pleasures of flesh
the city made him dirty so he bathed in the glow of the neon lights
he's slashing and burning the pain and the yearning til all of the feelings are gone
better to be numb than a bleeding heart
better to be a machine at the start
he looks at his hands and he looks at the sky and he silently curses the name of his god

Clockwork boy don't sleep cause he's living the dream
the time slides by, living life on the screen
he pops another pill, sweetens up the routine but he
never seems to find what he's trying to see
searching high and low for any logic or reason
for people caught in cycles paying wasted attention 
to things instead of people, to means and not the ends
the snake just eats its tail, the circle never ends
