'Argentinean talent Paul Deep debuts on Plaisirs Sonores Records with his first release: the 'Medusa' EP. Two great remixes from Dabeat and John Cosani complete this amazing package.

Paul's workman-like focus and laser-precise beats have caught the imagination of a lot of the elite players in the scene and we are pretty certain that we are dealing here with an artist that has a very bright future ahead.

This release shows Paul maturity and musical development as we kick off with the deep, hypnotic warm melodic layers of Medusa, interspersed with subtle effective percussion while the drop is filled with an indescribable wash of tension.

Dabeat uses the same endless tension that fills the original track and brings a memorable new melody after the drop to create a monstrous remix that will move every dancer on the dance-floor.

With his remix of Medusa, John Cosani pieces together a deep, warm, percussive groove that reveals energetic synth stabs and tension. Powerful and understated.'

Although lately the sun rises every day with empty dance floors, Warung continues playing its role and making the difference in the scene during this moment of protection.

The opportunity culminated in the union of one of the biggest and most important clubs in the world with a renowned Brazilian electronic music website, Alataj, in an arduous but rewarding mission: translating the essence of Warung into a VA with 20 original tracks, making a mix of new promises with producers already established in a curatorship with great care.

Amid the rich musicality of the VA, you will find some Argentine artists, people that has always been very welcome in the club. Promising names like Antrim, Ezequiel Arias & Artfaq and Mariano Mellino & John Cosani, make their debut presenting deep and exciting sound approaches, perfect to a sunset on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean.

A new 2 track EP finds Clay Smith creating another sparkling musical voyage for the 78th release on Darin Epsilon's label Perspectives Digital.

An early encounter with the "Lovefest" festival fueled Clay's obsession for electronic music. From his home in Oakland overlooking San Francisco's east side bay, Clay built a studio around him with all the funds he could muster. A degree in Economics with a minor in Music from the University of California Santa Cruz provided the US producer with an opportunity to pursue his unique musical path. His debut on Happy Records under the moniker Kush Push followed as he began to find his own voice.

Ultimately under his own name, Clay Smith refined his musical perspective with a paradigm shift in sonic taste emerging out of the whole Burning Man ethos. His appearance on Perspectives earlier this year saw the "Jakarta Jam" EP showcase his skills in a remarkable debut that reached #5 in Beatport's Progressive House releases chart!

Six months later, Clay catches fire again with a dual track EP of the highest order. With a distinctive percussive pattern, "Chord" is a beautifully crafted affair that captures the attention with its richly stratified layers. Smooth chord progressions supply an emotive vibe as sustained pads add harmonic depth and white-noise power. Building in effervescent fashion, a hypnotic arpeggiated sequence blends with sumptuous vocal phrases while a powerful rasping bassline note provides menace aplenty. The result is a masterful piece with driving beat and club-friendly energy.

The eastern vocal phrasing in "Boom Shiva" immediately transports the listener into distant cultures and the Indian subcontinent. Quickly hitting its stride with a relentless rhythmic intent, organic instrumentation and smooth flowing melodies juxtapose against the driving beat and intricate tabla percussion. Evolving with subtle waxing and waning of the key elements, Smith has captured the essence of traditional music practices, cleverly merging them with modern electronic techniques. The result is a highly original and impressive track.
