Sebastian Porter with his debut EP on Lebensfreude Records. Better not match label name and the music together. Porter, born in Cologne and meanwhile Berlin-based, knows how to dress the summer in music. As each ray of sunshine would be a sound. Deep, melodic House, which does not make the mistake of flirting with too much seriousness. Instead, constant surprises: it is the use of cellist Thiemo Niggemann in "Geschichten einer blauen Raupe" or the smoky, lascivious voice of actress and party icon Marie Scherzer, what with the interpretation of Nietzsche ("Those people") and Shakespeare ("Moon") texts to the musical tapestry of Porter gives an understated, yet distinctive touch. The Freiboitar remix of "Moon" is reached in terms of permeability again one better and rounds off an EP that will come big to the open-air summer season.

After having made a clear statement with his debut EP “Moon“ on Lebensfreude Records this summer, with “Good Times” Sebastian Porter now provides the soundtrack for the autumn days. Once again Porter knows how to create that deep, melodic house sound without showing off too much seriousness. Sebastian Porter keeps on focusing on the club. While “Wild Spirit” wistfully pays homage to the atmosphere of a late-summer open air festival, the EP’s opener “Passenger” as well as the title track come along less playful, darker, more direct – pointing briskly to the club’s entrance. It’s time for the “Good Times”!

Es sind diese Momente, in denen man loslassen kann und sich für einen Augenblick lang gemeinsam in den Armen liegt, weil sich die Herzen so weit öffnen, dass man garnicht anders kann, als zu lieben und sich seinen innersten Bedürfnissen hinzugeben. Getrieben von der Musik, die uns in diesem Moment über alles hinweg eint und gemeinsam nebeneinander und miteinander tanzen lässt. Leben und leben lassen! Angesichts unserer gesellschaftlichen Entwicklung, wo waschechte Faschisten es offensichtlich wieder schaffen, sich als stabile Kraft zu etablieren und einen Bürgerkonsens voller Hass, Gewalt und Verachtung hinter sich vereinen, der mich so erschüttert, dass ich es manchmal garnicht richtig glauben kann...angesichts dessen bin ich froh über jeden Menschen, der es schafft, seine Arme zu öffnen und das Schöne zuzulassen. Von diesem Gefühl bitte so viel mitnehmen, wie geht. Die Welt braucht es.
