A friend calls me: "Hey, i want to participate at the 99fire-Awards at the Berlin Film Festival. We have 99 Hours to produce a film of 99 seconds. I need a score. Are you in?"
Of course!
But i only had three hours to produce something, since he called me quite late (and actually it was weekend which  i didnt want to have spoiled.) 
Furthermore i would have to produce the music without seeing any footage. Blindly, so to say.
All i knew was:  the theme set for the films would be "stories of life"..my friends idea would bel be macro-zoom-shots over facial skin and in the end you would see the whole face.

This is what i came up with.

GOD IS A CAMERA

Nachdem sie viel in der Welt unterwegs war, lebt die freischaffende Fotografin Odarka Fischer-Orloff inzwischen in Köln und liebt die Stadt, ganz besonders aber ihre Menschen. 
Als freischaffende Künstlerin hat sie selbst erlebt, was die Corona-Pandemie und ihre Folgen in allen Lebens- und Gesellschaftsbereichen angerichtet hat. Viele Künstler*innen aus allen Sparten der Kunst haben extrem darunter gelitten und tun dies noch. Um sie in den Fokus zu rücken aber auch um Künstler*innen in Not zu unterstützen, plant Odarka Fischer-Orloff ein Buchprojekt, das sie in diesem Gespräch mit Monika Metz vom „Freien Lokalrundfunk Köln e.V. - FLoK" vorstellt.

Buchprojekt von Odarka Fischer-Orloff

This November Francis Dunnery (formerly of It Bites), Dave Kerzner (formerly of Sound of Contact), Nick D'Virgilio (Genesis - Calling All Stations) and other guest musicians are putting out a special tribute to Genesis in celebration of the 40th Anniversary of the classic Progressive Rock album "The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway". The single "In The Cage" will be made available for download this month with a follow up of the entire album expected to be released in early 2015. This special tribute to the picturesque album is done in a "classic rock-meets-modern film score" style combining authentic vintage instruments from the 70s (including sounds recorded at Genesis' studio with engineer Nick Davis) along with a full orchestra. 

The album and bonus tracks feature Francis Dunnery on lead vocals and Dave Kerzner on keyboards (both have participated on Steve Hackett's acclaimed Genesis Revisited 2 album)along with a stellar cast of musicians including Nick D'Virgilio, Billy Sherwood (Yes), Steve Rothery (Marillion), Dan Hancock (Giraffe), Martin Levac (The Musical Box), Nad Sylvan (Steve Hackett) and more!
