Dusty Kid is one of most renowned Italian electronic music artists. His profile remains in the underground side of the industry but his musical skills are great and eclectic. 'Istmo' is leaded by a catchy melody surrounded by a powerful bassline and deep elements. 'Sysma' is such a real techno track, a few but well chosen elements and some original and surprising breaks… Closing the release we find 'Feelers', a track with a raw beat, big bassline and lead synth, enough to do serious damage to any techno dancefloor.

Young Irish-producer Rebūke continues his rapid ascent to the top with two original productions on Hot Creations, primed and ready for the dancefloor.

Rebūke recalls being worried that Along Came Polly may have been perceived as being “a bit too weird”, but once it caught the attention of Jamie Jones, there was no stopping it. He says that the hype surrounding this EP “is something I’ve never experienced before...and it always get a great reaction”.

On Along Came Polly, Rebūke showcases his innate ability to craft a weirdly, wonderful slice of techno. On the B-side, Rolo is a much housier affair, weaving together a bouncier bassline and sultry vocal stab.

The alias of Reuben Keeney, Rebūke, has only been in business for a short while, but his efforts have already proved to be fruitful. He has garnered support from the likes of Nic Fanciulli and released on labels including Saved and DFTD, as well as having a successful club night under his belt, where highly regarded names such as Camelphat, Darius Syrossian, Ejeca and Huxley have all played.

The label boss sets the bar of the year as SNOE’s second release is delivered by Andreas Henneberg. Loved for his wild and diverse style, Andreas is always pushing the boundaries and draws inspiration from many genres when masterfully crafting one dance floor monster after another.

His newest EP is no different, and the first track “Mommy’s Wrap” shows that he has no intention on giving the dancers time to sleep. An alluring and powerful groove guides the direction of the tune, moving between a melodic touch and a fierce smack in the face. While building a huge momentum in the break it is underlined by an incredibly tight groove that really works as the cherry on top. “Cologne” is the second track of the release, the vivid drums and percussions create an irresistible funked up techno groove while the chattily synth gives in incredibly powerfil vibe, the whole track just pulsating of energy.

Mathame refine their singular sound on ‘Skywalking’ and a collaboration with Tale Of Us, ‘Departure’.
Following 2018’s ‘Nothing Around Us’ single, Mathame show no sign of slowing down. Their Afterlife Recordings follow up is a dancefloor single of epic proportions, taking the duo further into a realm of their own. Tension hangs off the sliding chords and spacious arrangements. In the case of ‘Skywalking’ it reaches an uplifting, euphoric crescendo, in Tale Of Us’ intro edit of ‘Departure’ the theme goes darker and off-kilter. Bona fide anthems in the sets of Mathame and Tale Of Us.

Here we go with Keinemusik's newest release - it is already number 47 and going by the lovely title "Hand In Hand". Speaking of, let us just give you a hand real quick and elaborate on this. The label is actually turning ten years in 2019. That is ten years of quite a few buzz making records within the back catalogue, ten years of priceless memories on the road, in the studio or somewhere in-between and above all, ten years of doing things hand in hand. So therefore the release to celebrate the occasion simply needs to carry this name. The idea is pretty basic: everyone of the label's mainstays is handing in a tune. Rampa is starting things off on the A-side with "For This" - a collaborative effort together with Berlin born and London based singer Chiara Noriko. It is a track rich in contrast, laying down a roughly shaped foundation featuring a swirling bass and shimmering synthnotes, but then suddenly enriched by harmonies and topped off by Chiara's yearning croon. Safe to say, the rather emotively charged frames of a clubnight have been waiting for this. Then there's Reznik - up to this point being in the picture as the DJ only fella - chipping in "Schuhu's Groove". A cut that indeed delivers a good amount of grooving energy. And at the same time, a bright tune that's switching beat patterns and indulges in Neo-Disco- leanings and funked up synth arrangements. &ME is opening side B with "Fairchild" and yet another sophisticatedly laid out floor epiphany, showcasing his ability to shape monolithic yet soulful peaktime masterpieces. Here he introduces staccato synths on top of a stoic groove, that are being shrouded by a pending note and then ultimately enlightened by pads and an instantly infectious piano melody. And finally we find Adam Port on B2, pursuing his knack for lost African treasures. Once again he finds the source material in an old traditional by Quim Manuel O Espirito Santo. Port's edit of "Eme Lelu" seeks to update the original in some of the rhythmic patterns and create a whole new dramaturgic, floor tweaked build up, yet he leaves the original's cheer- and playful nature untouched. Patrick Mason and Rekids boss Matt Edwards return for their second appearance as SRVD with two cuts entitled ‘RAW FILES’.

Not confined to a single art form, Patrick Mason is a young creative at the forefront of Berlin’s art, fashion, dance music and LGBT scene; an influential club kid who developed a friendship with Matt Edwards after a chance meeting in Panorama Bar, resulting in numerous studio sessions and improvised live sets. Joining forces in 2018, the pair adopted their SRVD moniker – an alias inspired by New York’s vogue scene – before dropping their debut release on Rekids, playing at various clubs (notably Panorama Bar), not to mention an unforgettable performance at Boiler Room x Pornceptual.

‘The Yard Man’ presents rattling drums, piercing vocal chants and a tormenting melody that SRVD has been destroying dancefloors with over the last year. On the flip, ‘Brotha’ presents a compelling groove as a shuffling rhythm joins abrasive synths and Mason’s penetrating voice.

Here Mixmag reveals the premiere of the EP's title track, a euphoric and anthemic peak-time techno cut packed with relentless energy. 

Alan Fitzpatrick had this to say on the new collaboration: “It’s always exciting for me to work with new artists and people that I think can bring a different take on things in the studio.
