After releasing their smashing debut EP ‘Fields’ that was well received with featured remixes by Madmotormiquel, Genii, Canson, and Noraj Cue we welcome back @roswithamusic and @merlijn-nash with their new project moniker called @roswithanash. Due to the pandemic they couldn’t bring their sound to the stage. Instead, they poured their quiet Corona hours into creating and can’t wait to share all of it with you.

"Don’t Go Asking" started out as a combination of a sample of a rough legged owl and a few broken bonds between some human people. In its core the story and feeling of the track is about new beginnings. The chords carrying the track are one part “Where do I go next?” and one part “It’s already okay”. For the detailed listener, someone is very softly asking... How are you? But as the vocals loud and clearly answer: We don’t need to ask each other that question anymore. They are old and tired, and whatever is happening now is new, young, and full of potential. It’s alright.

“Die Idee zu “Drown” ist dadurch entstanden, dass @unfugsrumpelkammer einen seiner Songs stark verlangsamt in einem Set gehört hat und überrascht davon war, wie gut das klingt”, sagt der Produzent @drivepitcher. Das Set stammte von State Of Stupor. “Ich meinte dann auch nur, lass uns doch mal einen Downtempo-Track machen”, fügt Unfug an. Das Hauptgitarrenriff für den Track stand recht schnell. “Es war einfach zu schön in dem Tempo, ab da war die Richtung dann klar”, so die beiden Musiker.

Frankfurt’s Matthias Vogt has assembled quite the back catalogue over the past decade, from his timeless work as one half of Motorcitysoul on Aus Music and Freerange Records, to the six albums released by his popular jazz ensemble [re:jazz].

Matthias now teams up with London label Anjunadeep for a string of releases, kicking off with the ‘Seven Summits EP’ which has picked up early DJ support from Dixon, Tensnake and Dusky. Featured on the #1 iTunes Dance compilation ‘Anjunadeep 07’, title track ‘Seven Summits’ is a wistful trip through mystic melodies and haunting soundscapes, deftly blending delicate production with raw emotion.

Growing from sparse strings and jaunty keys, ‘Schwarzbach’ is another piece of subtle melodic house, flowing through elegant atmospherics before swelling to an understated crescendo.

‘Can We All Be Still’ takes a leftfield turn; a beautiful downtempo track built around a simple stabbing bassline and ethereal meditative vocals from Pete Josef.
