Our first release on Motek for 2020 and it is a big one. Having delivered two huge remixes for the label, Martin Landsky is back with three track original EP 'Attitude' which includes Original and Acid Mix of the title track, and b-side 'Leipzig House'.

Attitude is perfect for finding your dance floor feet. Full of classic House orchestration from the warm keys texture, the bouncy bass line and 808 style hats. The track has added mystery within its lead line which adds contrast to the mix and is finished with the spoken vocal. The Acid Mix of Attitude is darker and brings more weight, perfect for the later hour. The sharp acid lead cuts through a production still steeped in groove and syncopation. A mix to get in your own zone and get lost too. Leipzig House as with the original of Attitude also has strong classic Deep House sounds. An evolving and warping bass line drives the track within a spacious mix allowing the syncopating groove to have maximum impact.

Mika has an incredibly warm and deep voice. Deep as in tickling the low end of the frequency spectrum; and deep as in touching the deepest thoughts and emotions of the listener. Manuel Meyer has been involved in a remarkable amount of different Electronic projects for a remarkable amount of time already - yet he’s a remarkably humble producer. Both have the same hairdresser; which again is how Berholter came into existence. Together the duo creates the musical counterpart for that mellow feeling of inner warmth that lingers in the chilly air of the big city at the beginning and at the end of a long club night. In the twilight of pop-infused uplift and subtle melancholia Berholter present two irresistibly catchy tunes. To expand their musical momentum in the direction of maximum danceability, there’s also two splendid remixes by Myagi and Dompe.

First "Arambol Rise" it is a swinging and right minimal, deep track in the style that's been around since long time ago. It's the kind of track that will appeal to DJs for as long as we have dance music. "The End of the World" it is lean and focused techno track, there are just a few elements: bassline, percussion, flecks of melody with massive synth and strange vocal, but each of those parts is engineered to perfection.

2k20. What a year so far. We, the crew at the Hive Audio label offices, are pretty much certain that absolutely nothing rolled out as planned for anyone around the globe this year and that there hasn't been much time or opportunity for celebration for anyone out there in the electronic music community or beyond either – even though we had different things in mind, especially in regards of our 10 years anniversary as a label which we already heralded with the quadruple EP series „The First Ten Years“ rolled out equally through Hive Audio and its recently launched offspring Hive Audio Dark earlier this year.

But as they say, routines are helpful to cope with difficult circumstances and therefore we're back and well proud to present you with this years summer compilation „Summer Slices 2020“, a massive 13 track overview of the recent state of the art in quality electronic club music and a glaring sign that creativity and productivity in our scene are still going strong.

'Hommage proudly welcomes the return of Valiete to our label with his debut EP. The Frankfurt-based producer impressed us with his remix of ‘Walls’ by label bosses Monkey Safari, which dropped earlier this year, and here he is with the Blackout EP. Valiete runs his own Empore label with friends Marc Wolf and Philipp Harms, launching the platform in 2014. Four years after the label launched, he released his first single ‘Saga’ and introduced the world to his energetic, emotive sound. On his debut, he showcases his unique talent with two original cuts, plus a sparkling remix from Re.You...

The EP begins with ‘Blackout’. As the title suggests this cut has an ominous atmosphere which Valiete builds carefully, with layers of percussion and moody synths. Creeping out from the shadows is a hypnotic melody which counteracts the dark mood, adding a sense of urgency. After a searing breakdown we enter the second part of this cut which distills the core elements down into a more minimal structure.

Next up is ‘Whitechapel’, a spellbinding track that combines soft, affecting timbres with Valiete’s penchant for exquisite percussive arrangement. The first half of this cut is sparse, with floaty atmospherics and the gentle thump of its bassline. Valiete guides us into a hushed breakdown full of anticipation, leading us into the second part of the track where things get a little bit strange...

Wrapping things up, Re.You turns in a delightful remix of ‘Whitechapel’. The cut utilises his trademark drums, respectfully taking key elements of the original and adding some of his own flavour. A steady build up ushers us into a mesmerising interlude and the track’s equally enchanting second half.'

About

Po zanimanju muzičar-harmonikaš. Otkud DJ, a harmonikas? Kroz posao event managera sam uvidio da je ovo jedno super interesantno zanimanje, 
te da bih se volio okusati u istom. Probao, svidjelo mi se i sada zelim da sto vise napredujem i da mi ovo postane primarna obaveza u zivotu.
Tri godine je proslo otkada sam prvi put upalio filter na kontroleru, te sam za relativno kratko vrijeme postigao malo vise nego sam i sam ocekivao. 
Takodjer, pored uloge DJ, zelio sam da mi pored pise "and producer", te sam počeo klikati i po Fruity Loopsu. Svaki put kada otvorim aplikaciju, 
naucim nesto novo i svako pokretanje iste doprinosi mom razvoju u tom polju. Mogu reci da sam zadovoljan stvarima koje pravim, mozda ne i 
opremom koju posjedujem, ali shvatam da ovo nije nesto gdje se uspijeva preko noci, te da su dovoljni sati i sati klikanja i propalih 
.flp fileova, ali prihvatam i to i trudim se da mi ne dosadi. Do sada sam izdao dvije trake za label iz, daleke nam, Kolumbije, ali sada kada poslusam to sto sam dao da se izda, pomislim da sam malo pozurio sa izdavanjem, tako da cu sada malo pricekati dok ne stigne "ono nesto". Inače, bavim se muzičkim obrazovanjem malih pilića, koji će nas zabavljati kada malo ostarimo. 
Sviram nekoliko instrumenata, sto tipkanih, što duvackih i nisam jos prestao da učim. Na kraju ću izdvojiti svojih nekoliko najdrazih nastupa, kao i svaki veliki DJ.. 
Omiljena, zauvijek broj 1, Silver&Smoke sa Goranom Emkicem. Goran i Ilija Djokovic su mi bili kolege tu noć.. a u Zenici, mnogo njih cu pamtiti, pred domacom rajom, nema nigdje ljepse.. Legendarni Smetovi i spomenik, serija zabava u Ultra summer gardenu, da ne peglam dalje.. 
Jedva čekam budućnost 😃
