Fast. Impulsive. Techno. Three words to establish and define what the artist known as Egotot is all about. The young musician, hailing from the deep south of Germany, sets quite the pace when it comes to his vision of electronic music, regarding both tempo as well as quality. His beats, be in the studio or in the DJ booth, appear to come and arrange themselves seemingly with no effort. A Rave-infected sonic testing ground without ever feeling like a simple Rave pastiche. Avision of Techno that is obviously inspired by its sound of the 90s, but neither exceedingly aggressive, nor excessively happy. Egotot has a special taste for rugged, up-tempo grooves which demand their own time to breathe and reveal their power. A sonic all-purpose weapon to be used on, for, and by the dance floor.

In this work Sebastian seeks to reveal a hidden energy, utilizing percussions and ambient sounds derived of electromagnetic field interferences. The rhythmic rumblings blend with spacious synthesizers, punctuated by the vocals of Mo Van Zandt, evoke a dreamlike allure that simultaneously captivates and unnerves.

Persuing an aesthetic of forward thinking sound design and attention to detail, Sebastian Hoffmann is an artist who incorporates the new technological advances and sounds derived from it into his artistic language. 

His keen eye and ear dictate his productions which rely on heavy soundscapes and carefully structured rhythms, his sets with an intentional raw energy for Berlin floors, and his audio engineering services as well through the Modulate Project which he founded and runs. 

A constant effort to confront himself with the depths of human perception give him the tools to create otherworldly sounds in a new and exciting way, breathing fresh air into the beloved sounds originating from Detroit and Düsseldorf.

Knife presenta el podcast 180 por Ancient Methods, proyecto de Michael Wollenhaupt. 

Desde su aparición, el proyecto ha sido a menudo etiquetado como “pitch black techno war funk“  (citado después de una reseña inicial de Boomkat) y estrechamente asociado a lo que más tarde sería etiquetado como el movimiento "tecno industrial". Esto posiblemente se deba a la estética radical de la máquina que Ancient Methods ha convertido en un sonido característico inconfundible desde hace más de una década. Aunque el marco mecánico sea -ni más ni menos- un embajador físico de un contenido más profundo, hay una profunda emocionalidad humana encerrada en la coraza rítmica.

Since its emergence the project the has been often labelled as “pitch black techno war funk“ (quoted after an early Boomkat review) and closely associated to what later on would be tagged as the “industrial techno“ movement. This is possibly due to the radical machine aesthetics Ancient Methods has developed into an unmistakable trademark sound, since more than a decade. However the mechanical framework is - no more, no less - a physical ambassador for a deeper content, there is a profound human emotionality enclosed in the rhythmic shell.

Peeps and Gents UP next is the Berlin-Lichtenberg-based artist and vinyl enthusiast @freigeist_music is a true connoisseur of the 
soundscapes that shaped electronic music during the 1990s and 2000s. With a keen ear for house 
and techno rhythms, Freigeist's sets contain crisp 909-grooves, freaky 303-lines and often wander 
widely through the genres. 
His passion for vinyl runs deep, having built up a collection of ~1,500 records in 6 years. He mixes 
together playful beats from past eras blended with the freshest grooves of today, creating a unique 
time travel techno experience that transports the listener on a sonic journey through the ages.

Dublin native Aero has become of the most prolific Irish techno artists within recent time, as the youngster carves out a career that is wrapped around the foundations of purist techno.
The Dubliner’s punishing style of techno has been haunting Irish dancefloors for overhalf a decade, as Aero’s deep knowledge of techno see’s him weave through hard edged and funk-laced techno cuts from various time periods.
Aero has played alongside some of techno’s most formidable names, from Stef Mendesidis & Dax J through to SHDW & Obscure Shape & Sunil Sharpe, to name a few. Aero is one of the most trusted warm up DJs in Ireland, but is also equally versed in pulverising a dancefloor at peak time.
Outside of the club Aero’s productions have been seeing heavy support from
arguably some of the most influential DJs of our time from Freddy K, Amelie Lens, Slam, Richie Hawtin, Marcel Fengler & many more. With some more 12 inches forthcoming and a mountain of unreleased music 2024 is expected to be a colossal year for Aero.
