Lee hazard is an artist from Calgary. But also Dallas. The music he creates is absolutely sublime and transcends the inherent vibe restrictions of a lot of modern electronic music. His debut release “Out of Sight” is simply mesmerizing and has been stuck in our “Office” playlist for some time. It comes from an EP release on In Passing, which is destined to wear out many a set of headphones. “Breathe With Me” is the first in a small series of tracks (to be released on your favorite label) showcasing the many different tones at disposal to this young producers’ palette: subtle and sharp, bold and tender. Wait - is this a review of music or artisanal cheese? It may look like this write-up is turning into a real blow-job, but we’re just thrilled to be involved in not only telling stories about really special artists when we find ‘em, but being part of that picture also. Without further mincing our words - this tune slaps!

Like their ravaged revolutionary group namesake, these tracks exude a mood of strife, shadows, and smoke, simmering protest transmissions from the grim north. The songs smear shades of industrial hypnosis, basement dub, and soul lament within his signature saturated “tape throb” palette like tagged concrete stained by tear gas.
