@montyluke's ‘Nightdubbing (Part 2)’ lands on Rekids this February.

Kicking oﬀ Rekids’ January, Monty Luke’s ‘Nightdubbing (Part 1)’ won the support of Josh Wink, Laurent Garnier, Fred P and many more. Radio Slave’s esteemed label now readies itself for part two, starting with ‘Supernova’, a slow-burning groover shot through with whirly synths and deep space textures, broken up by retro vocal samples. ‘Starstorms’ continues to explore the deepest reaches of the unknown, picking up pace via shaker rhythms, driving bass, and raw foot-on-the-pedal pads.

Up next is Monty Luke’s ‘New World / Old Future’, in which scratch-like drums, dubbed-out hits and a rolling rhythm are all in perfect order before the psychedelic ‘Avantgarde Dancehall’ introduces wonky liquid sonics and intricate melodies over a steady beat. Closing this eclectic oﬀering, ‘Travelling ‘Round The Sun’ features drums rooted in dub alongside spoken word poetry, rounding oﬀ a release that is storytelling at its very best.

Monty Luke spent ten formative years in Detroit, where the city's unique musical spirit inﬂuenced him immensely. He has since distilled this experience into the music he has put out on labels like Rekids, Planet-E, Hypercolour, and his own Black Catalogue. His raw, dub-infused sound comes with plenty of futuristic designs, with this second part of ‘Nightdubbing’ continuing to push the boundaries of his music.

Label boss Alessio Collina is back on Trend with his new 'My first gold E.P' after 6 years from his last one, which had massive supports from Laurent Garnier, Alexander Robotnick and Terry Farley to name a few.
If you ever had the chance to listen Alessio during a dj set you can feel for sure his eclecticism that he has experienced during all these years of parties and studio life.
'When it was gold' is the main track, where the soul of piano and the trippy trancy synths meet themselves, perfect for big rooms.
'First time' is a club weapon with progressive synths, slighty distorted 909 drums and a loopy mental voice, it fits for afterhours and intimate 3am situations.
The last two tracks are fresh edits of a limited vinyl press released in 2015, so it's a return with style!
'Pump it from the back' is a Hip-House stomper with lovely stabs and a killer bassline, instead 'Pimp that funk' is a summer sampled jam with a fat groove, rollin snares and a wicked sub bass.

Annie Hardy is the outspoken, boundary pushing visionary and lead vocalist from renowned and widely revered grunge/punk band Giant Drag with whom she attained massive success. 


The band released their first EP ‘Lemona’ in 2005 on UK tastemaker label ‘Wichita Records’ which led to a record deal with ‘Kickball/Interscope’ who later went on to release ‘Hearts and Unicorns’ for the band, to much critical acclaim from the likes of NME, Pitchfork and The Guardian to name but a few.  


Annie and Giant Drag then took a break from the limelight before deciding to make a comeback in 2013 and self-release ‘Waking Up Is Hard to Do’ with a vinyl release by Canadian DIY label ‘Yeah! Right Records’.  


Annie later released her first solo LP ‘RULES’ (Full Psycho/Yeah! Right Records) which was recorded and produced by Joe Cardamone. The record boasts an array of musical guests including DJ Bonebrake (the drummer of Los Angeles historic punk band X),  Don Bolles (The Germs), Stephen McBean (Black Mountain, Pink Mountaintops) and Petra Hayden (That Dog) to name just a few. 


Annie Hardy is now back with her second solo EP offering of the ‘Cross Bearer’ EP. Cross Bearer contains 5 previously unreleased tracks by the artist being

Each track in turn takes the listener on a sonic, psychedelic journey of self awareness and discovery. There's an eloquent mix of a child-like innocence coupled with an extreme mature wisdom that comes from having lived a life with many twists and turns, a life that has known both pure joy and crushing heartbreak.


It's a genre defying, eclectic mix of musicianship and songwriting unlike no other. Annie Hardy has a style all of her very own; she is a leader where others can only follow in her wake. 


It's probably unsurprising that Annie Hardy is such a groundbreaking artist given that her influences come entirely from within herself without the unusual outside influences playing a part.  At her own admission Annie hates technology and what it has done to humanity and says that she hasn't watched TV or a movie for 12 years now.
