With almost 30 years on stage, Berlin’s electronic mainstay Dapayk Solo is back with a new 8-track album that captures everything fans love about him: Minimal vibes, playful experimentation and that unmistakable “Frickel” edge that has become his trademark.
Dapayk Solo — aka Niklas Worgt — has never been one to sit still. From his early days in the ’90s, founding Mo’s Ferry Productions to starting Sonderling Records, he’s shaping the European Minimal scene, his sound has always lived somewhere between the club and the laboratory. 
This new album is a tribute to that evolution. With eight tracks, Dapayk manages to distill decades of experience into a cohesive narrative. 
The record opens with „Bring It Back“, a track that plays with the ultimate withholding of the usual climax and drop — it’s the first of those kind of tracks that pull you in rather than push. As the album progresses, the grooves get deeper, the arrangements more twisted, and the signature Dapayk “Frickel” textures come to life: quirky percussion, clever micro-edits, rhythmic surprises.
It’s a release that shows an artist who’s not trying to reinvent himself — but refine himself. Three decades of live performances have taught him how to build tension, how to break it, and how to craft a sonic world that feels both timeless and fresh.
This album is for everyone who loves electronic music with personality: detailed, warm, a little nerdy, and unmistakably Dapayk.

Promo haben die beiden eigentlich nicht nötig, aber es sei frei zitiert: “We Love Electronic Music, kurz WLEM, ist das gemeinsame Projekt von zwei Veteranen der deutschen Technoszene. Sebastian 'Sandmann' Sander und André 'RDR' Tschoffa sind zwei Freunde, die jeweils Anfang und Mitte der neunziger Jahre mit elektronischer Musik in Berührung kamen und seither ihre Faszination nicht verloren haben. 

Während Sandmann bereits für seine legendären Vinylsets bekannt ist, ist es beim RDR eher die Ausnahme, ihn bei einer Veranstaltung hinter den Plattenspielern zu sehen. In den meisten Fällen kümmert er sich um eigene Kreationen via Notebook und Co. für den gewünschten Abriss. Seine Schallplattensammlung ist dennoch sehr umfangreich und wird gemeinsam mit der tonnenschweren Sandmann-Kollektion genutzt, um 100%ige Vinyl-Mixes in die Ohren der Leute zu hauchen. 

Die beiden spielen dabei nicht nur Techno, denn ihr gemeinsames Spektrum ist einfach größer. Das Ergebnis ist eine große Vielfalt an Sets, von Deep Techno über D'n'B bis hin zu Hardcore und Breakcore, Loop-Techno und zurück zu Chill Out und Downbeats. 

Seit einer Weile laden sie sich immer einen Gast ein, der mit ihnen gemeinsam ein Set aufnimmt und dabei die Stilrichtung vorgibt. Bisher lautet die einzige Anforderung nur, dass es mit Platten gemacht wird. Man darf gespannt sein, was einen da noch erwartet!”
