“Bear With Me…” is about both isolation and connection. A beautiful statement of life
in this strangest of eras, its fractured disco production and soul-baring lyrics, conceived
and created by the Caribbean-Belgian artist with partner Bolis Pupul in lockdown, speak
of the intimacy and vulnerability of confinement. “Bolis and I are storytellers, writing
observational tales about the strange world we all inhabit.” says Adigéry, “Bolis and I are making a time capsule, writing songs that tell the story of life in 2020. We believe 2020 has been such a cornerstone for the 21st century. This song is about being confined thus confronted to the way we live. The cruel irony of having theprivilege of standing still, questioning and observing my life in all safety while others are fighting for theirs. ‘They say there’s dolphins in Venice’ is a symbol for the times we live in. An internet hoax that gave people hope. A naïve hope for a utopian future, now that we’re all locked in our homes. A sign that we are all aware of the negative impact we have on the planet but still seem to remain paralyzed. On the other hand the song is about not being able to run away from yourself and being confronted with your relationship to yourself and others. Not hovering from one busy schedule to another, never looking back."

Catching Flies - real name George King - returns with his new single ‘GLY,’ a slice of uplifting, sophisticated dance music that sits in the sweet spot between dancefloor and headphones. It’s highly textured, deeply melodic and effortlessly marries live instrumentation (guitars, harps, a string quartet) with warm electronic beats. A remix package of the single will follow in May 2021 with remixes from British dance-pop stalwarts Hot Chip and Ninja Tune’s DJ Boring.

‘GLY’ marks Catching Flies’ first artist release since his critically acclaimed 2019 debut album ‘Silver Linings.’ Future Music described it as “A brilliantly eclectic record…a moving journey that will last long in the memory”, Clash Magazine praised the LP’s “killer beats” and “artfully orchestrated introspection”, whilst London In Stereo mentioned it’s “exceptional production”. Other press coverage for the album included The Guardian, Complex, Nowness, i-D Magazine, Dazed & Confused, Electronic Sound and The Line of Best Fit. Artist support for ‘Silver Linings’ came from the likes of Bonobo, Jungle, Loyle Carner, George Fitzgerald and Lane 8. He toured the album performing sold out headline Live shows throughout the UK, Europe, Asia and North America, as well as DJ shows at Bonobo’s ‘OUTLIER’ event in the US. Catching Flies also does soundtrack work for film and video games, and has recently been nominated for a BAFTA.

Before the Devil Knows You're Dead

I’m revisiting the first Zenlike Creature album and, I guess, tweaking the mix and remastering. Whilst I am very proud of my work, I’ve learned so much over the last few years that I listen back and wish I could have mixed it better.

Now, I know some folk are purists (see the Star Wars back against George and the 97 reissues) but all I want to do here is enhance what I wrote and produce, not add anything that wasn’t there in the original. Just a better balanced mix and master.
