British-born DJ/producer Nick Newman has established himself as one of the most original and deeply-textured artists in the electronic music scene. Newman’s music, characterized by its warm meditative quality and ethereal soundscapes, has made its way onto industry-leading labels such as Armadillo Records, Seven Villas, The Soundgarden, Sudbeat Music, Manual Music, and Stripped Recordings. His sound has also garnered support from the world’s most influential progressive house DJ’s such as Hernan Cattaneo, Guy J, Nick Warren, Gai Barone, Pablo Bolivar, Kora, John Fleming, Solid Stone, Nicolas Rada, Nick Varon, and more. Equally as impressive, Newman began his career as a DJ at age 14. He frequents the airwaves with regular guest mixes and radio shows where his sets range from 115bpm downtempo to 124bpm+ progressive house. His sound and style are instantly recognizable and suitable for warmup to peak hours, as well as the early-morning cooldown sets.

About the EP :
It was very important for us to go more in depth, to put our pop background to the side whilst keeping our signature sound. That was maybe the biggest challenge whilst producing “Musik 3”. We are very happy with the result” – Super Flu

Hailing from Halle/Saale Germany, Felix Thielemann and Mathias Schwarz have created unquestionably one of dance music’s most unique acts. Fusing together a spectrum of influences which covers everything from classic house to orchestral melodies, the duo continuously push and pull the boundaries that stand before them to suit their artistic vision. With 2017 fully in their crosshairs, Super Flu proudly announce their forthcoming album titled ‘Musik 3’. An exquisite listening experience like no other. 

With the remixes of „Musik 3“ they yet again demonstrate how beautiful the melting of different genres and characteristics can unfold, and their selection of artists is as varied as it is on point. Having revelled in the glory of its original and then marvelled at Solomun’s summer smash remix of ‚mygut‘, which also features here; it’s time for Super Flu to unveil ‚Musik 3+‘

On the quest for re-invention they invited artists and friends working in all sound spectres, ranging from artists that inspire them such as Suara’s label boss Coyu, head of Stil For Talent, Oliver Koletzki, Deetron and Mathias Kaden to their Monaberry family members Viktor Talking Machine, Cioz, Ole Biege and Tim Engelhardt.

Also you find magnificent and characteristic tracks from Sobek, Roy Rosenfeld and Guy Mantzur, Ninetoes and Daniel Stefanik, soundtracking new musical adventures.

Exclusive Active Child 'Johnny Belinda (MDK Remix)'

Active Child's tune 'Johnny Belinda' gets the remix treatment from Dutch electronic music legend Matthew Dekay The producer has been responsible for one of Innervisions' biggest hits, 'Lost In A Moment', and also produced the groundbreaking EP 'Amity' including the summer hit 'Fangtango' on Maeve. With his remix for Active Child's track 'Johnny Belinda' Dekay once again proves his ability to turn an original track into his own piece of work. Melodic melancholic synth chords shape the body of MDK's remix approach and are set with a reserved bass line that fully unfolds its punch as the remix proceeds. But it certainly is the vocal that puts its mark on the track and Dekay manages to make the interaction between the vocals and soundscapes sound so easy. 

Active Child's EP 'Johnny Belinda Remixes' will be released April 30th, 2018 on Subtract Music.
