Tief Music mainstays Sisterhood release their second EP for the label following up their hugely successful 'Call Me Ishmael' released back in 2013. Tunnels features three original tracks showing the London based duo's versatility and maturity as producers. The EP kicks off with 'Doublespeak', a hard-hitting peak time track, filled with arpeggiated synths and dubbed out FX. 'Tunnels' is deep and sparse, slowly building throughout its 7 minute run. Bicep reconstruct the title track, morphing it into a punchy, bassline focused roller with piercing atmospheric pads. 'Believe' closes the EP, a dreamy, sample based track utilizing beautiful floating chords to great effect.

The EP opens with “Introducing the Band”, a captivating blend of analogue warmth and cinematic tension. Its evolving synth motifs, theatrical build-ups, and intricate percussion create a narrative-rich track full of personality, aimed straight at peak-time moments.
UK duo mOat follows with a captivating remix that reworks the original into an infectious piece of underground piano-house, a late-night journey that combines subtle textures, a dubby quality and the extremely uplifting and emotional piano line.
Closing the release is “Servitude”, a slightly darker, industrial-tinged cut that fuses raw synth lines with sharp rhythmic structure. It’s a tense, driving production that balances poise and power perfectly, capturing the pair’s talent for building drama, energy and emotion with sophistication.

The Italian-born, Germany based artist is highly regarded for his distinctive style and musical depth. microCastle’s masterstroke has been to engage Love over Entropy to repattern ‘Ortygia’. Motivated by the ideology of early Detroit pioneers and experimental IDM, his musical creations are renowned for being hypnotic and atmospheric, with a tender touch, juxtaposing an obsessive attention to detail with space, chaos and chance. As a result the Dutch artist has found a home on taste-maker labels such as Something Happening Somewhere, Lossless and Atomnation. Here he builds a deeply brooding, melodic, percussive masterpiece, and the resultant tension is palpable as his re-imagining of ‘Ortygia’ sparks with eruptive bursts of fizzing energy. Next up on Rebellion is jozif with his Reclaim The Light EP , delivering four original dancefloor cuts. Since his debut release back in 2008, the British producer has gained support from the industry’s most respected tastemakers with his impeccable arrangements.

" This EP is one I'm probably most proud of because it encapsulates all these different sides of me and how I write my music. Reclaim the Light is a love song I wrote whilst trying to save a relationship; Billions I wrote after being in the jungle listening to Luciano and Dixon. I Know You (Love me) is a record I’ve been trying to write for about 10 years - delicate, classy, subtle. Picaro, I wrote in about twenty five minutes on my Father’s kitchen table after watching a Jeff Porcaro documentary ”

The opening track, Reclaim The Light, is a vocal-led, house track complete with seamless percussion and melody. Billions No Trumpets follows suit, an entirely new ethnic feel, with chanting vocals and wooden percussion. Complete with chimes and delicate piano, I Know You (love me) enchants throughout before dropping into a solid kick snare. Finally, 80’s-esque synths and a raucous drumbeat conclude the EP in Picaro.

Following a whirlwind of standout releases with the likes of Wolf + Lamb, Mobilee and Ministry of Sound back in 2010, jozif has cemented himself as a unique musical voice in the world of electronic music. His impressive and versatile mixing skills have taken him across the globe and led to his release kicking off the infamous Balance series in 2013. The London-based artist is currently putting the final touches to his album and accompanying live show.
