Manchester native Loz Goddard has been crafting high quality releases since 2015, garnering early support from the likes of Mr. Scruff, Mike Huckaby, Move D and Session Victim. The ever-eclectic producer has since partnered up with esteemed labels such as Seb Wildblood’s Church imprint and deep-house institution - Quintessentially, Loz has since reinvented his sound with an experimental edge and a penchant for live instrumentation. It’s Goddard’s ability to explore a wide range of genres and tempos whilst maintaining an authentically personal sound that is particularly special. Whether it’s the slow ambient motions inspired by the likes of Boards of Canada or the rattling breakbeat workouts imbued with the spirit of the nineties U.K underground, this northern powerhouse delivers a deeply immersive sound design to be utilised in the club and for home listening. His latest work has been manifested in the form of the ‘Balloon Tree Road’, an LP set for release on Oath.

Following their debut album ‘Visions Of Ultraflex’, the Norwegian-Icelandic electro-duo serves up a mouthwatering extended remix 12" with two of Norways most distinctively renowned underground producers and DJs. Telephones twists ‘Work Out Tonight’ into a bubbly Balearic Pop block-party, fusing the vibe of NYC Peech Boys, Quincy Jones' 80s productions and Larry Levan's infamous take on Nami Shimada/Soichi Terada, all rounded off with a decadent beatless ambient acid outro mix. On the flip, the norse force that is DJ Sotofett, heavy-handedly rubs ‘Secret Lover’ into an uncompromising chunk of Cosmic Electro, with growling vocoders, rugged drums and stratospheric synths, progressively evolving into a tripped out dub-disco electro-mutant. The Lagaffe boys have a special one for you. Lagaffe 10 marks the 10th EP in our vinyl series and serves as a perfect way to end our 10th year in existence. To mark this occasion we are releasing a 4 tracker with our founders and label regulars. 

The EP opens up with Cohen Social Club by Flexi Leifs aka Felix Leifur. Our man Felix lost his drum machines last spring but luckily he found a guitar and some drums. The track starts off with suspicious sounding guitar notes that somehow up as pure beauty, giving hope in the darkest of places. Frodo with the ring stuff, if you know what I mean. Playful reverbs and echos give the tune the classic Felix Leifur feel to it! 

Moff & Tarkin has the next track "Pure Fury", some breakbeats and cheesy disco vocals, why change a winning recipe? 

Next up is "We are not alone " by label boss Jonbjörn. I think this is what Elton John meant when he said "thank god for those electro bangers!" With "Að handan" Viktor Birgiss comes back to the label in style. Our mastering engineer described it as having the loudest kickdrum in history, imagine that! Lo fi dub sounding drums interlaced with atmospheric chords, made for those late night intimate moments on the dancefloor, again Frodo with the ring stuff, if you know what I mean.

The elusive Takuya Matsumoto has been floating beneath the surface of the underground scene for a decade, high on the list of double AA listers like Floating Points and Move D since he dropped a few slammers on Meda Fury.  Returning for his second outing on the uber-cool Fina Records, with his ‘Tape Is Rewound EP’. This collection is an unrelated group of tracks which normally one would question them sitting on the same slab of vinyl, but here it just works.  Deep house grooves are merged with tech- tinged beats, punctuated with some filthy dirty acid lines. Killer EP from the crew.
