Fireground est le fruit de la collaboration d'Angela et Daniele surtout connus pour leurs productions Techno et Electro via leur propre label R12 Records. Le duo napolitain parvient à lier de manière experte les pratiques actuelles en matière de production Techno, avec le son classique de Birmingham de la fin des années 90 - pensez à la trilogie d'albums de Surgeon sur Tresor. 

Pour le 30ème anniversaire du label et club Tresor, ils sortent "Duality" leur premier EP : melanges de drums dures et des percussions organiques sur un tempo très soutenu,  Une approche moderne d'un son classique - a la fois doux et sauvage - pour les pistes de danse résurgentes d’aujourd’hui.


*****Tresor Beriin, 30 ans d'activisme*****

Il y a 30 ans, un an après la chute du mur de Berlin, à minuit, le 13 mars 1991, une porte de sous-sol s'est ouverte. Par cette porte, beaucoup sont passés, en route pour définir de nouveaux terrains dans la musique électronique. Ils y ont trouvé une piste de danse dans les voûtes de la chambre forte d'un grand magasin accolé au mur et abandonné pendant la guerre ; la piste de danse du club Tresor et son son unique enrobé d'un brouillard dense, construisant nuit après nuit une histoire qui était aussi une vision de l'avenir. Un espace où les jeunesses de Berlin Est et de Berlin Ouest se sont réunis, en bougeant aux sons de la Techno.

Depuis lors, le Tresor a permis aux artistes de développer leurs idées de nouveaux sons avancés et de les diffuser dans le monde entier.
Du collectif de Detroit Underground Resistance, ouvertement politique, dont l'objectif était d'offrir aux Noirs américains de la classe ouvrière la vision d'un avenir meilleur par le biais de l'action communautaire et de la musique, à Jeff Mills, le magicien des platines, en passant par Juan Atkins, l'initiateur de la Techno, et le mythique groupe Afro-futuriste obscur Drexciya, les pionniers qui ont été les premiers à traverser la connexion Detroit-Berlin et à être à l'avant-garde d'un nouveau mouvement culturel ont donné à Tresor sa mission originelle et continue : la communauté, la résistance et le changement du monde à venir.

30 ans plus tard, Tresor est installé dans le Kraftwerk - la cathédrale post-industrielle abandonnée et réutilisée qui servait autrefois comme centrale thermique du centre de Berlin-Est. Le bâtiment accueille également l'audacieux festival Berlin Atonal et OHM, le club intime dédié aux formes les plus aventureuses de la musique électronique.

With dedication, podcast no.45 comes from an artist with aspiring career, @LindseyHerbert who's at age 16 continues to drift towards the deeper realms of techno, constantly honing her craft as a DJ and getting involved with the thriving scene in San Francisco. Fast-forward to 2021 and Lindsey has truly become a recognized name in her city and beyond, in large part thanks to her unique signature sets— true journeys that explore alternating soundscapes laced together by dark, deep and heavy textures, as well psychedelic elements and ethereal melodies; and now her productions as well. With tour dates that have brought her to international venues playing beside top name DJs, she is an artist to watch.

Lindsey’s hard work over the years has paid off, gaining her residencies with San Francisco’s Robot Ears for six years, and more recently becoming the newest member of Direct to Earth in SF, as well as earning a spot on the roster of Berlin-based agency, Point Collective back in 2016. She has played coveted gigs in Detroit, Chicago, Athens, Istanbul, and throughout Germany, as well as her recent debut in the legendary Tresor Berlin and Gate Club in Batumi, Georgia.

Half of the duo, Tommy aka AK47 from hardcore band BudBurNerz, has been raised by the 90's rave music. Other half, Valerick, made his first steps in electronic music with the bass music movement in the 2010's. 

After exploring hardcore, bass music or drum ans bass, they united their creative talents and love for organized chaos to create their techno / rave project : Balagan. 

Their music is strongly inspired by all their past influences creating their own rich and intense sound.

Sometimes the darkest feelings provide, in a painful paradox, the biggest of pleasures. The DJ and producer @insolate_official demonstrates the truth of this analysis by producing rough & dark techno infused with emotion inspired by her 20 years as a DJ.

Hailing from Osijek, Croatia, on the wide Croatian East – a town that at first glance a heavy industrial atmosphere overshadows - this is where she made first steps as a DJ back in 1997 before taking over European and worldwide clubs. She's already played some of the world’s most renowned clubs including Berghain, Rex, Tresor, Under Club, Club d’Anvers, Unter, Exit Festival, Tomorrowland, ADE and Dimensions Festival plus numerous Colombian tours over the years and USA tour and Argentina added to the list in 2018.

As a producer, she's had a string of releases on highly respected labels including DJ Deep's Deeply Rooted, Marcelus’s Singular and Developer’s Modularz - supported and played by some of techno's finest. She also released the stellar Obscure Object Of Desire EP on JoeFarr's new User Experience imprint, two original tracks that stroke the perfect balance between groove, power and emotion. She also contributed to Ben Sim’s compilation Tribology among giants as Planetary Assault Systems, Oscar Mulero, Steffi etc. and also made super interesting collaboration with french producer Arnaud le Texier and released EP with him for Prodigal Son.

Insolate is also a major contributor to the Croatian techno scene, so much so that she was in Ibiza to receive the award for "Dance Nation of the Year" at the DJ Awards on behalf of her nation. She  also run the event series HUSH in her native Osijek.

The success of the Hush nights caught the attention of Red Bull Music Academy and Dimensions – both of which they have hosted official events for. Insolate being an international messenger of techno was recognised by Ambassador award that gave her a title "Croatia’s ambassador overseas" for 2017.

The final part of putting Osijek on the techno map was taken in 2015 with the launch of the label Out Of Place. The label was named in honour of the beautiful struggle of carving your own way into the scene from a place that's well off the grid from the traditional capitals of techno.

As a DJ, Insolate is well known for her no-compromise, pure-bred techno sets. It's clear to anyone who's seen her perform that she's an artist with a lot of experience but also plenty of inspiration and ambition, and a deep knowledge of techno. She is simply a natural presence in a DJ booth. If you've seen her play, you will know exactly what this means.

Kostas aka @againstmesc is a greek Berlin-based DJ, Producer & co-founder of SOCIETY 3000 and core member of USM Recordings.

The project “AgainstMe” started back in 2017 on his home island Lesvos, Greece and it stands for the continuous fight with ourselves to align our inner voice with our soul and beliefs.

In 2014, at the age of 16 years old, he first discovered his passion for DJing and producing and he did his first steps into the music industry under a different alias in a wider range of electronic music. His music has been released on different labels around the world, but as he was at a very young age, he was still discovering his self and what style of music expresses him the most.

The project “AgainstMe” came to life two years later after his first Rave / Techno parties in Lesvos, Greece.  For him at that point, techno music was something completely new, uniting and revolutionary which was going against everything that he had experienced before. The distorted melodies and the heavy drum patterns along with the ritualistic vibe of these parties made him immediately fall in love with everything around this sound and what it stands for.
 
Since then, his music got released on different record labels around the world. Some of the most important releases during the last years were, his album “Synopsis” in Subsist, “Tension Seeker” in Warok and "Defend" In VOXNOX.

He already enjoyed support from artists like Dax J, DVS1, Rodhad, K-Hand, Mikael Delta, Richie Hawtin, Temudo, Kanding Ray and many more.

For him, the absolute goal of a DJ  is to connect with the crowd and build a unique moment together. So his sound could be characterized as multidimensional, energetic and storytelling. Some of the venues/parties he performed at are RSO, Corsica Studios, QRECLAIM, Astron Bar.

Currently, he is experimenting a lot with Modular Systems and unorthodox techniques in his studio in Berlin.
