After the release of their first album, Il Est Vilaine teams up with a dream team of remixers : Tolouse Low Trax, Khidja, Golden Bug, Marvin & Guy, etc...

Tolouse Low Trax opens up with destructured version of Yvré- L’évêque while keeping the darkness of the track. It is one of Tolouse Low Trax favorites and he plays it very often on his recent sets.
Khidja have been inspired by Chinese Music, wich is a perfect match to the voice of Narumi Hérisson.
Golden Bug & In Field propose a trippy alternative to Marilyn Drum.
Krikor delivers a digi-dancehall version of Yvré-L’Evêque.
Rubin Steiner comes with a more housy-hip hop version of Bar à Gwin.
The Italian duo Marvin & Guy pulls out an epic version of Mystères de Lorient.

"Medhead" is Cosmo Vitelli’s third solo album. Featuring eight cuts, five of them being recorded in collaboration with Truus de Groot, lead singer of Dutch new/no-wave outfit Plus Instruments, ‘Medhead’ is a statement to the power of electronic language as a summoner of deep-laid, recursive narratives. Emancipated from normative restraints and nonsensical branding, the album spans everything from slo-drip kraut to wasted disco, through murky motel-pop, neo-kosmische, hip-hop, industrial and, quite obviously, a healthy dose of reconfigured indie-rock motifs. A gravity-defying ode to the weirdness of being, Cosmo Vitelli’s new album bridges gaps and reexamines our reality, which seems so prone to enslave itself to rupture and disjunction. Let that organised chaos take over your senses and cast off to a world of untamed, eerie wonders.

When Manfredas remixed Shari Vari's Dance Alone off their debut sold out LP on MT - 'NOW', he sent us 2 versions. The first one, the Dance Version was released digitally while this version above have never really seen the light of day, until now. 
This remix will be released as part of our celebratory 7 years birthday compilation,  a 2XLP coming in a beautifully designed gatefold sleeve.
The compilation, titled Sheva (7 in hebrew), will be released exclusively on our bandcamp this September, and on the rest of the platforms in October...

Creative offspring of Tushen Rai and Cornelius Doctor's musical fantasies, Hard Fist has been a non-profit project encompassing producers, graphic designers, djs and dreamy party worshippers since its inception in 2017.

“We would never have thought that this collective story would bring us this far, that it would take such a place in our lives and that it would bring us so many beautiful encounters. It was only possible to celebrate our 5th anniversary with the unreasonable idea of making something out of the ordinary.
So we thought big, a digger's dream: a double vinyl in limited edition with 20 artists from 17 countries gathered around exceptional collaborations: producers who have marked the history of the label these last 5 years, friends, but also peers, people who inspired us and gave us the desire to create Hard Fist.
In this Unidentified Noisy Object (U.N.O), you can expect borderless music flirting with Nu-Rave and No Wave, Cosmic Dub and Post-Punk, a slice of Psychedelic Electronica, a lot of Acid and a bit of Slow Goa Trance. As well as some beats of Krautrock played with an Afrobeat groove and a few Darkwave's synths. But not only that. It's never only that. But what is it then? Just a label without label, to dance and to explore.”

Mother of Mars​ is the latest musical outlet of New Yorkers ​Vito Roccoforte & Gabriel Andruzzi.​ Having cut their teeth as the rhythm section of​ The Rapture​, who were at the forefront of the late nineties post-punk revival scene, they took to channeling their mutual love of disco, house and techno, the bandmates took to DJing together as ​Vito & Druzz​i. Having honed their skills and joint workflow, the Mother of Mars project sees them shift focus from club orientated productions towards Avant-Garde, New Age and Experimental influences.

2018 saw their first exploration as Mother of Mars releasing their ​Seed 2 Sky​ 12” on Ransom Note Records. These synth-laden tracks, both 10 minutes in length, were lovingly crafted from their shared Brooklyn-based studio and cast a midpoint between each’s wide reaching influences. This time around, they come armed with the angelic vocals of Japanese expat ​Jaiko Suzuki​ and a variety of percussion from across the globe.
Space Without A Shadow​ is the first outing from this new body of work and is in many ways considered by the pair to be the missing track from their ​Seed 2 Sky ​release. Although both refreshing and exciting, the track unfolds in an almost familiar way. The result is a beautifully-strange fusion of genre and culture alike. Over a beating kick and layers of driving percussion, repetitive synth riffs swirl in and out of focus clearing the way for Jaiko’s multi-tracked airy vocals, subtly playing off of one another in the foreground.

“Space Without a Shadow had its genesis shortly after the writing of the first Mother of Mars release, Hera in the Valley, which came out on Ransom Note Records the 19th of January 2018. This release also marks the wonderful and talented Jaiko Suzuki joining the Mother of Mars universe. Space Without a Shadow was always intended to be the next record after Hera in the Valley and now 2+ years later or a mere fraction of a second in cosmic time, which Mother of Mars prefers to work in, we give you Space Without a Shadow.
In the song—Vito, Jaiko and Gabriel all seemed to be moving through convergent musical and lyrical lines (or possibly cycles or spirals) that passed through a space of negating the popular modern idea of the individualized objectified self. Not an annihilation of self, but the dissolving of a particular and common conception of self. As part of this process we possibly make space for something else altogether or maybe we even get rid of a sense of delimited space all together. And perhaps this comes across to the listener, and they get to share in this experience.”

On remix duties is long time friend ​Willie Burns​ who weirds up the dancefloor, still being respectful to the original and Glasgow’s rising star Mr TC who progs the whole thing up utilising the bassline to reinvented effect.

The track was mixed by previous collaborator ​Ewan Pearson​ - who remixed and produced for The Rapture -​ ​and Mastered by ​Sarah Register​ who has worked with the likes of Lee Scratch Perry, Ariana Grande, Amon Tobin and Depeche Mode.
