Today's Meta Moto premiere features 'Svezia Inferno,' a creation of the eclectic electronic producer Johan Gustafsson, who founded it in 2016 in Bordeaux after his tenure with the synth-punk band Black Bug. Hailing from Sweden, Gustafsson now calls Torino, Italy home. This upcoming release, set for April 24th, will be available on tape, CD, and digital formats through the label La Società Del Malessere.

The centerpiece of this release, 'La Caccia,' is one of two tracks on an EP. Gustafsson crafted it using a blend of synth samples, original recordings, and ambient sounds sourced from Torino. Inspired by the unsettling presence of a doomsday preacher whose amplified sermons echo through a nearby flea market, both tracks delve into the eerie atmosphere. The preacher's ominous messages, mingled with the surrounding voices and the rhythmic beats of ritualistic drums, provide the thematic backdrop for this haunting musical journey.

Dystopix comes 3 years after the last Neud Photo record and the wait was well worth it. Things have gotten darker with this release. Elegant craftsmanship, subtle but effective vocals whisper throughout, and as always, it's Cybotron influence is clear. The tracks flow with an eery cohesiveness, making it Neud Photo's most well told story to date. The hard part is figuring out whether the story is fiction or (soon to be) reality.
