Ashen City - a desolate rundown city full of wretched outcasts in a barren wasteland of misfortune. This city was built on competition, keeping the people there distracted from "real world" problems. They stay stuck in a continuous loop of monotony.

They crave excitement... They let themselves out in the treacherous night, seeking that thrilling distraction. Most of them are just kids.
The city's people rely on the psychedelic effect of Moon Stones for an escape...or at least the illusion of it. It's short and brief, but just long enough to satisfy before they return to their mundane lives. It's just enough for them to be content where they are; trapped. They have no ambition...no desire...no will to progress. It's called the "Haunted Treadmill". They work so hard to go no where; to just live...right where the city wants them.

Not all who are there are lost though. We call them "Dragonflies", the only ones who manage to escape. They're the free ones.. the focused go-getters.. the true escapists. They shed their old skin and spread their new wings, flighting to discover new horizons. The Dragonflies want more than Ashen City will ever have to offer them.
