Next up on our airwaves is Rude66. As one of the godfathers of the infamous West Coast sound of Holland, Electro and Acid maestro Rude 66 needs no introduction. More than 30 years after his first release, Rude and his wife Shaunna on vocals are still going strong, honing their unique brand of musical skills to perfection.
As a mastering engineer, Rude lends his sound and considerable experience to a new generation of vinyl labels with a client list that reads like a who-is-who of cool and influential electronic music communities.
Travelling the world like he did for many years playing live or as a dj has been impossible for a while. But rude’s dj sets can be heard on intergalactic FM and many online stations, taking cues from his huge and diverse vinyl collection and exclusive unreleased tracks.

At long last, a new mix to kick off 2023, and it’s liquid. DJ Seven is now “Sevendaysin,” and as the art indicates - he’s too poor to make that new logo design bc THANKS, CRYPTO! 

Out to all the folks who are hodling strong and still trying to make the most of a “shilluation” that may eventually take over, but not if the powers that be have anything to say about it…Alas! 

Still, after working on this for the last month on and off, in the efforts to stay vigilant and positive about all things ridiculous, I’m happy to finally share this slipstream of liquid drum n’ bass w/ you. Dutch producer Danny Wolfers aka @legowelt-official needs little introduction unless you’ve spent the past two decades buried beneath a Mont Blanc avalanche. His enormous collection of synthesizers, as well as his unwavering love for analogue production tools, justifiably places him in the synth music “Hall of Fame”. Since releasing his first material in the early 1990s, Legowelt has incessantly produced music and continues to display seemingly limitless creativity. As a result he has built an unparalleled discography that also includes an assortment of artist aliases.

Legowelt’s new EP ‘System Shapeshift’ will be released on Lapsus sub label C.E.E., specializing in more club-oriented sounds. The label returns to action after a two-year hiatus, during which time its intrepid explorers failed twice to scale the dizzy heights of Nanga Parbat. Now back at sea level C.E.E.’s head honchos have confirmed the release of Legowelt’s new five-track EP, bursting at the seams with 30 minutes of unrelenting old-school techno, synth house and snaking electro bathed in pure acid. The EP is a genuine time bomb, ideal for the most discerning of electronic music lovers.

ALCIAN BLUE never received the attention they deserved. Starting in 1998, a few years too late for the original wave of shoegaze and ending in 2006, a few years too early for the newer wave. I first witnessed them playing shows together with my band Unlucky Atlas and was immediately smitten with their intensity; loud, psychedelic, punishing pop owing as much to the Cure as Jesus and Mary Chain - but heavier. Live they flooded the stage with projections and the room with high decibels. Of course that they weren't alone and along with their friends Skywave, (which formed Ceremony and A Place to Bury Strangers) they ushered in a period of intense noisy shoegaze. However, it was ALCIAN BLUE that made me think this kind of music still held vitality at that crucial point in time and could be simultaneously caustic and beautiful. (Terence)

MISTER JACKPOTS - Patio Encounter EP -  ISR005
“Patio Encounter” is the debut EP from MISTER JACKPOTS… a cat who lives with music producer Jake Reid. According to Jake, a cat wandered out of the woods at his in-laws house looking for food a few years back. Him and his wife nursed the cat back to health and realized he was extremely smart at figuring things out. “He hangs out with me in the studio all the time,” says Jake, “We got him games early on that were food driven and he figured them all out so it doesn’t surprise me that he decided to make a record.” 
“Patio Encounter” is full of banging 808’s and layers of LA and FM synthesis against squelchy acid lines and 90’s house chords. The EP contains themes of patio adventures watching wildlife, nip induced grooves for late-night headphoning, and Jackpot’s weird connection to lunar cycles (Strawberry Moon). Things might be bleak right now but at least there are some cool cats throwing down lush vibes.
