Warfare return to the scene yet again after another unforseen pause to showcase we still around and have no intention on stopping with the delivery of the Neuro/Tech sound we stand for. This time we welcome another new recruit - Vedanta, real name Adam Lewandowski. Originally hailing from Poland and currently based in Barcelona, he comes as no newcomer to the scene, being personally on stage since late 2000's, while project Vedanta itself started in 2015 as a duo between Adam and technoid dnb legend Yabol. Fast forwarding into present days, Vedanta remains in Adam's hands, carrying the torch passed by Yabol who remains an Astral Partner and a good friend. Vedanta's aim is to deliver his finest productions in the field of Psychedelic Techno Drum & Bass. With a long list of labels and releases under his belt featuring Renegade Hardware, Metafiziq, Close 2 Death, Future Sickness and others, time has come to add Warfare to that list as well. We proudly present this 2-track banger EP, name Final Fight EP, featuring the tracks Final Fight and Jaunt - one being remiscent to the video games of the early 90's and the other being the classical technoid sound Adam stands for. This release comes as first of series of new EP's we have prepared under our belt to present to You, so watch out for what's coming next in the recent future from Warfare.

This is a very special release. It is in memory of Rafał (Redirect) who sadly passed away in summer 2019. He was an outstanding and unique-sounding artist. In our fast-paced-newsfeed age, a lot of today's music lacks of typical artists-trademark. The music of Redirect was and is always sticking out and the listener knows it is a track by him.
One of his last unreleased tunes is "Instant Cutoff" and was signed by Perkussiv back in February 2016. This tune perfectly represents the style of Redirect: Phaser-driven and counter-playing leads with a straight forward, dancefloor-orientated beat, combined with a very short syncopated bass supporting the unique drive of this masterpiece. Redirect did not make any compromise - as usual - by pin pointing the main idea and that's that. The slightly melancholic typical overall-atmosphere of Redirect's music is perfectly represented in "Instant Cutoff".

As this release is called "We Salute You", Techno-DnB legends joined forces for a final salute to Rafał: Yabol, Amex, Dyslexia, Proton Kid and Section 63.
They remixed "Instant Cutoff" in their own individual style, in order to give Rafał the last tribute he truly deserves. A heavy-hearted good bye. A salute from the pier, standing strong together, witnessing the ship leaving the harbour, with Rafał's spirit and soul on board.

We wanna thank you, dear Rafał, that you were part of Perkussiv Music and this small Techno-DnB scene. You were a true artist, driven by passion. May you rest in peace. May God protect your soul and take care of your family and friends.

As this release would not be special enough, it is also worth to mention that Perkussiv is celebrating its 10 years anniversary exactly on the release date (February 22nd 2020), plus it is a personal gift to Amex himself, as this is also his birthday.

Better known as Blade from The Sect, Dave Section 63 was drawn to the breakbeat hardcore emanating from London’s pirate radio stations in the early ‘90s, collecting records and tape packs for events he was still far too young to attend. By the end of the decade, he had released various hardcore records under the alias Blade, but was undoubtedly a Drum & Bass head, DJing on several pirate radio stations and working at DnB specialists Tripp2 Records.  During this time, he became a resident at the legendary Paradox parties and a fixture at events on the south coast.
   
Joining forces with Virtua and fellow Paradox resident Method to form The Sect, the trio’s first release was on DJ Red’s Distance Recordings in 2003.  However, they really exploded onto the scene in late 2006, with their debut single on Obscene and self-titled EP on Offkey dropping in the same week.  Numerous singles, EPs and remixes across a host of seminal labels swiftly followed, cementing both their status at the forefront of the burgeoning Techno-DnB movement and their place in the wider scene.

Operating as a duo from 2009, Blade and Virtua maintained a relentless release rate and DJ schedule.  Their album ‘Fractured State’ was released on Subsistenz in 2011 and they founded their own label - The Sect Music – the following year.  At the end of 2017, after countless hours in the studio and DJing extensively around the world for more than a decade, The Sect released The Shutdown EP, before performing for the last time on New Year’s Eve, signalling the end of the project.
  
Initially intended as an alias to explore other styles of Drum & Bass, the first Section 63 release was a collaboration with Mako on Warm Communications in 2016.  Dave adopted the moniker full-time in 2018, with his debut EP dropping on Mute:8.  A steady flow of singles, EPs, collaborations and remixes has followed since on labels including VIA, Mute:8, Perkussiv and Subtrakt, with plenty more music scheduled for release in the coming months.
